摘要： PURPOSE: To grind and remove open flaws such as splits, hair cracks, etc., existing on the front surface of a casting piece of a continuous casting line by means of an abrasive water jet containing abrasive particles. CONSTITUTION: An angle α formed between the extending direction of each open flaw 16 and the projected straight line of the axis 19 of a nozzle 17 is selected in a range from 30 to 150 deg., and sizes of abrasive grains are in a range from 2 to 2mmϕ, moreover, an angle θ formed between the front surface of a casting piece and the nozzle axis 19 is selected in a range from 7 to 80 deg.. Thereby, the degree of flatness of the front surface of the casting piece after grinding is improved, and the grinding rate is improved.

摘要： PURPOSE:To improve grinding efficiency and enable control of roughness on a machined surface by controlling the supply amount of abrasive material from an abrasive material tank mainly with the opening of a gravity and flow control valve or an orifice so that almost no influence may be given from the fluid conditions of a carrying medium. CONSTITUTION:When a preset amount of abrasive material is filled in a tank 5, a valve 11 in an abrasive material supplementary supply line 8 and a valve 12 in a collecting and reusing system 7 are closed and a flow control valve 9 and a high pressure gas valve l0 are opened to supply high pressure gas and abrasive material to a nozzle 1. The supply amount of the abrasive material is measured in a load cell 13 and the feedback to the flow control valve 9 is controlled by a controller 14. In the case that the abrasive material is added to a high pressure fluid jet stream with a pressure of 500kgf/cm or more by using pressure fluid with a pressure of 0.5-9.9kgf/cm , the reference value of the supply amount of the abrasive material to a high velocity jet stream is set to 0.1-0.6 by weight ratio. The supply amount is controlled within + or -30% to the reference value.

摘要： PURPOSE:To provide a means for removing a surface flaw efficiently and going a flaw removing process on line in a rolling line for a steel material. CONSTITUTION:An abrasive material is sprayed by a high pressure fluid jet current, that is, an abrasive water jet is applied to cutting the end of a hot roughing down material before a finish rolling process. The width 300mm or less of the end of the hot roughing down material is removed by 10-500mum by grinding under the conditions that the high pressure water pressure is 200-8000kgf/cm , and the weight proportion of the supply amount of an abrasive material to the supply quantity of water is 0.05-2.2. Thus, the need of a rolling process after roughing-down and trimming for a defect part after acid cleaning can be eliminated so as to improve article forming yield rate. Furthermore, a line for removing a flaw such as a slitter line or a recoil line can be omitted so as to increase the efficiency of a line process.

摘要： PURPOSE:To produce a cast slab having excellent quality at high speed by solidifying molten metal below the molten metal surface through the inner curving surface of heat insulating part to the cast molten metal and continuous part for solidifying the molten metal at the upper part of a mold. CONSTITUTION:The inner wall of the copper-made mold 1, ceramic pices 3 are stuck with a layer mixing organsic dahesive and metal powder. The ceramic 5 having the inner curving surface 4 formed with the heat insulating part 5a to the molten steel and the continuous part 5b for solidifying the molten metal to the upper end or the upper part of the word 1, is disposed on the whole periphery. Further, by arranging a heat insulating space 11 for permitting super heating quantity to low level in the heat insulating part, partial stickness off metal to the heat insulating part 5a can be prevented. The molten metal 7 is poured into the mold constituted in this way from a submerged nozzle 6 and the solidification is executed from solidified starting point 8.
