摘要： PURPOSE:To provide a means of simple surface reform for obtaining a joining part having firmness and intensity to heat stress by dispersing the stress at boundary surface between the ceramic and the metal. CONSTITUTION:This complex body has the structure stuck to the metal by forming a low m.p. oxide layer containing metal, alloy and compound containing these of Cu, Sn, Ag, Fe, Ni, Cr, Si, B, Al, Mo, Ti, Zr, Im, Nb and alkali metal of Li, Na, K, Rb, Cs, Fr and alkali earth metal of Ca, Sr, Ba, Ra, etc., on joining surface of the ceramic containing >=30% component of BN. Further, by sticking this complex body on the surface of a copper plate, a mild for continuous casting is formed.

摘要： PURPOSE:To improve the lubricating and Joining performances by specifying the chemical structure of the ceramics on the side in contact with the molten metal of the mold for continuous casting where the copper plate and the ceramics are lined and on the side to be joined with the copper plate. CONSTITUTION:In a mold for continuous casting where a plurality of ceramics chips 2,3,4 are lined on a copper plate 1, the side in contact with the molten metal 7 or the solidified shell 10 is made of the ceramics having a composition consisting of 50-97% h-BN, and the balance Si, Al, O, N, Ca, B, C and their compounds, and the side in contact with the copper plate is made of the ceramics having a composition consisting of 3-50% h-BN, and the balance Si, Al, O, N, Ca, B, C and their compounds. This chemical structure allows the excellent lubricating performance by only one kind of ceramics with the molten metal and the solidified shell, and a strong joining performance by the adhesive with the copper plate.

摘要： PURPOSE:To provide a simple surface modifying means to improve the wettability of hexagonal BN ceramics with an adhesive and to obtain a tough joined part proof against thermal stress at the time of joining the ceramics to a metallic material by adhesion. The unreacted part of the layer is then scraped off to expose the resulting penetrated and reacted layer and the ceramics is joined to a metallic material by adhesion through the exposed layer. A ceramics-metallic material laminated body having enhanced strength especially at high temp., avoiding the generation of thermal stress and capable of withstanding thermal stress over a long time can be obtd.

摘要： PURPOSE:To reduce or make unnecessity of use of powder and oscillation of a mold by fitting a ceramic body containing hexagonal system boron nitride to solidified shell developing part in inner face of the water-cooled mold. CONSTITUTION:The water-cooled mold for continuous casting is constituted by fitting the ceramic body containing hexagonal system boron nitride to at least the solidified shell developing part in the inner face thereof. Content of the hexagonal system boron nitride in the ceramic is made to be 50-97wt.%. The ceramic body is formed with small pieces and fitted with stickness. Components except h-BN in the ceramic are made to contain AlN, Si3N4, Al2O3, SiO2, Al5Si2O13, B4C, CaB6, Si2Al3O7N, etc. By this method surface characteristic of a cast slab is made to good and the yield can be improved.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an element for measuring the temperature at a plurality of points simultaneously with high response while facilitating the handling by integrating two or more single point measuring elements through sintering while setting the temperature measuring point differently. SOLUTION: A pair of thermocouples 3 are inserted into a pipe-like green ceramic matrix having two holes and sealed at the end face thereof thus producing a green matrix for single point temperature measuring element. Green matrixes having different length are immersed into water in order to soften the surface by absorbing water and then they are superposed entirely while setting the temperature measuring contacts 12, 13, 14 at specified positions. Finally, they are integrated through sintering. The inventive multi-point temperature measuring element has higher response than a conventional one and difference between the temperature measuring contact 12 and 13, 14 is small. Furthermore, since a bundle of single point temperature measuring elements having small diameter is employed, extremely steep response can be achieved.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain a sensor with a superior temperature response by embedding two element wires of a thermocouple in one piece in ceramic base, electrically connecting the two element wires as a temperature measuring junction, covering the junction side of the base formation body with similar base to seal the end, and subjecting the formation body to an integral glost burning. CONSTITUTION:Thermocouple element wires 2 are embedded in ceramic base to form in one. Both ends are cut and both element wires 2 are withdrawn out of the base formation body 1 to connect and welded with a TIG welder 3. By drawing back the element wires 2, only the temperature measuring junction is slightly projected from the end, body 5 of the same component as the formation body 1 is put on the formation body 1, and the junction 4 is sealed in. The formation body 1 of which end seal is completed, is tentatively calcinated at ca. 800 deg.C for ca. 60min and then subjected to a glost burning in oxidation atmosphere at ca. 1350 deg.C for ca. 120min. By this, the outer diameter can be reduced by avoiding the protection tube and temperature response is improved.

In the case of BN-AlON excellent in thermal shock resistance as well as in corrosion resistance, amorphous BN powder contg. oxygen allowed to enter into solid soln. and boric acid powder are used as the starting materials for the component of O. The oxygen becomes B2O3 in a sintering stage. This formed B2O3 and boric acid added as the starting material are reduced with aluminum nitride to form fine BN and Al2O3 and this fine Al2O3 is converted into fine AlON with AlN. The objective ceramic sintered compact excellent in corrosion resistance especially to molten steel is produced by using ceramic powder contg. oxygen allowed to enter into solid soln. as the low-cost low-purity starting material.
