    • PURPOSE:To make it possible to take a crash preventive action at an appropriate time just before getting off a car by providing a control device which, when a detection signal is sent out from a door opening action detector, generates a control signal if any body is approaching the rearward of the car. CONSTITUTION:A door opening action detector 2 detects a driver's action of opening a car door, and, in the rear section of a car 1, a supersonic transmitter/ receiver 3 is installed, transmitting/receiving supersonic waves to/from the right rearward area of the car. Based on the signal from the detector 2, a signal processing circuit 4 outputs a drive signal to the transmitter/receiver 3, and also arithmetically processes a signal from the transmitter/receiver 3 which receives the waves reflected by an approaching car 6 in the rearward area. The result of signal processing by the processing circuit 4 is reported to the driver by an alarm 5, and the signal between the processing circuit 4 installed in the car room and the get-off detector 2 and the power are transmitted by a transmission device 5.

    • PURPOSE:To make a car washing by a hose easy, by providing a projection with guard at the upper end of a reflecting plate in a sound wave irradiating outlet of an ultrasonic wave oscillator of an ultrasonic wave transceiver for a car so as water risen along the reflecting plate descends with the projection. CONSTITUTION:A bracket 5 is fitted to the inside of a bumper 6 of a car and a parabola reflecting mirror 1 giving a prescribed directivity to an ultrasonic wave and a rubber-made arm 4 fitted with an ultrasonic wave oscillator 3 are fixed to the bracket 5. Further, an ultrasonic wave guide 2 is provided between the opening of the bumper 6 and that of the reflecting mirror 1, and parabola air gaps 7a, 7b are provided between the reflecting mirror 1 and the guide 2 with a prescribed interval. A projection 4a with a guard is provided at the upper end of the reflecting mirror 1 in the ultrasonic wave irradiating outlet of the oscillator 3 is provided. In washing the car with the hose or the like, the water risen along the reflecting mirror 1 is fallen down at the brimmed projection 4a so as to prevent detouring water from striking the oscillator 3.

The cross section of the arm 3 fitted to the upper surface of the reflecting mirror 1 is taken as the inverse triangle shape, and the water invaded from the opening of the bumper via an ultrasonic guide is elevated in the direction A along the parabola plane of the reflecting mirror 1 and distributed into directions B, C with the arm 3 of the inverse triangle shape. Then, the water washing the car with a hose is flowed out so as to prevent the water from flowing into the inside of the oscillator 2.

Then, parabola air gaps 7a, 7b with a prescribed interval are provided among both left/right ends, the downward part of the reflecting mirror 1 and the guide 2. The air gaps 7a, 7b are used as drain holes, and it is prevented that much water is jetted to the oscillator 3 with car washing using a hose or the like and the degradation of the function of the oscillator 3 is avoided.

The constitution of this example is water resistant, and as a result the space between the resonator 9 and the element 8 is enclosed by the resonator 9. Thus the sound pressure applies the stress to the periphery of the element 8 through the resonator 9. Accordingly the element 8 is fixed at the center projected part of a terminal plate 7 by means of an elastic adhesive to have the up and down vibrations of the periphery of the element 8 with its center set as a flucrum. As a result, the element 8 has the expansion/ contraction toward its diameter. The voltage is extracted with the above-mentioned expansion/contraction of the element 8.

    • PURPOSE:To determine easily whether a car is in a condition of running or in a condition of stop, by converting the intensity variation of the pulsation of a supersonic wave reflected from the surface of the road and detecting a very slow speed of the car from the number of pulses per specified time. CONSTITUTION:Speed detector 1 is fitted to the rear part of car 3 at a specified angle with respect to the road surface. Oscillator 4 radiates a supersonic wave toward road surface 2, and its reflected wave is received by receiver 5, and its output is sent to comparator 14 via detector 11 and low bandpass filter 12. After this is compared with the specified voltage, the number of pulses is counted for a fixed time. When the number exceeds a certain value, it is reported to reporting device 21. Consequently, when a change occurs in the condition in the wave radiation region on road surface 2, the voltage signal from receiver 5 changes, and it is easy to discriminate whether the car is running or stopped, so that it is possible to report accurately the slow movement of a car, whose brake is not being applied.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent malfunctioning of ultrasonic distance measuring equipment that could be caused by interference so as to enhance the accuracy of measurement by comparing the amplitude of a bandwidth-filtered received pulse signal wave to those of plural center frequencies, and determining whether or not the received pulse signal is a wave reflected by transmission by the equipment itself. CONSTITUTION:The ultrasonic distance measuring equipment comprises a transmitting-receiving means 20, a distance measuring means 30, a comparing means 40 and a judging means 50, etc. The comparing means 40 includes band- pass filters 7, 9, 11 corresponding to center frequencies F1, F2, F3, respectively. Either of the center frequencies F1, F2, F3 is selected as the excitation frequency F0 of an ultrasonic vibrator 1. Prior to the measurement of distance, only prede termined time reception is carried out and when there is some received wave its frequency is judged and, if the frequency is the same as the frequency F0 which is to be transmitted at the present, the frequency F0 is changed. Then transmission of ultrasonic pulses is carried out. When the voltage value of a received signal is at its maximum at the frequency F0 the wave received is identified as self-excited frequency and the distance to a target is found.
