    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt side surface polishing method and device capable of easily polishing belt side surfaces without substantially being influenced by a worker's skill and accurately finishing the belt at an target V angle for obtaining a belt which can prevent occurrence of noise during traveling of the belt and has high transmission performance.
      SOLUTION: In this belt side surface polishing method, the side surfaces of the belt 1, comprising center belts 3a, 3b in which core wires are buried in elastomer and a plurality of blocks 2 attached to the center belts at a predetermined pitch, are processed at a desired angle.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress noise of frequency resulted from a block pitch in noise generated by contact of a pulley with a block. SOLUTION: A high load transmission belt 1 is formed by fixing a plurality of blocks 20 along a longitudinal direction of a tension band 10 so that the predetermined numbers of blocks 20 constitute a group of blocks. In the group of the blocks, each of the blocks 20 is arranged so that all of block pitches as intervals between neighboring blocks 20 are equal.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high load transmission belt which is reinforced against not only the deflection in the height direction of a block but also the deflection in the belt advancing direction, capable of solving a problem of frequent cracks of the block when thermosetting resin is used, and long in lifetime.
      SOLUTION: In the high load transmission belt 1 in which a large number of blocks 2 are fitted and fixed to center belts 3a and 3b, a reinforcement sash 22 in the belt width direction is provided on at least one of an upper beam 11 and a lower beam 12 of each block 2, and the reinforcement rail 22 has an inclination of 5-45° on the rear side to the belt advancing direction. A material to constitute the blocks 2 is thermoplastic resin.
