    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission belt of a unitary construction having high rigidity, durability and flexibility.SOLUTION: The power transmission belt is formed of a belt-shaped annular element having predetermined rigidity and elasticity and is wound around a pair of pulleys for belt transmission between the pair of pulleys. The power transmission belt is provided with outer slits 6 which are opened toward an outer peripheral side in a radial direction of the annular element 1 and have grooves cut from the outer peripheral side toward an inner peripheral side in the radial direction throughout a width direction of the annular element 1, and inner slits 7 which are opened toward the inner peripheral side and have grooves cut from the inner peripheral side toward the outer peripheral side throughout the width direction. The outer slits 6 and the inner slits 7 are formed so that they are situated alternately at a predetermined pitch p in a circumferential direction of the annular element 1 and a sum of the groove depth deo of the outer slits 6 and the groove depth dei of the inner slits 7 is larger than the thickness th of the annular element 1 in the radial direction.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt type transmission capable of restricting the wear of a belt by reducing the coefficient of friction between a belt and a pulley, capable of stabilizing the coefficient of friction, and capable of restricting the noise in running of the belt. SOLUTION: This belt type transmission 1 includes: a driving side gear shift pulley 4 and a driven side gear shift pulley 5 respectively formed with a V-groove 4c or 5c variable in the groove width on a peripheral part thereof; and a belt 10 wrapped around both the gear shift pulleys 4 and 5 in the state of being pinched by both surfaces of the V-grooves 4c and 5c. The belt 10 has a center belt 30 and a plurality of blocks 20 provided in the longitudinal direction of the center belt 30, and the block 20 is formed of a resin composition obtained by compounding at least a fiber reinforcing material into a thermoplastic resin. V-groove surfaces 4d and 5d are provided with resin layers 6b and 7b including at least one solid lubricating material of polyamideimide resin, graphite, polytetra-fluoroethylene and molybdenum disulfide.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heavy-load transmission belt reduced in failures such as a break of the belt by preventing a center belt from abrading away even if a friction occurs between the belt and a block in the case of driving with the belt and also capable of reducing generation of heat and deterioration of a resinous material constituting the block.
      SOLUTION: The heavy load transmission belt 1 is provided with a center belt 3 with a core wire 5 spirally embedded in an elastomer 4 and a plurality of blocks 2 along the longitudinal direction of the center belt 3. A protective member 10 made of a fiber-reinforced resin is arranged on a surface of the center belt 3 abutting against block 2 to thereby protect the center belt 3 from the friction with the block 2.
