    • PURPOSE:To prepare a maraging rotor excellent in toughness, by successively applying spinning processing, heat treatment, spinning processing and ageing treatment to maraging steel comprising a specific composition after solution heat- treatment under a specific condition. CONSTITUTION:Solution heat-treatment is applied to 245kg/mm. -grade maraging steel containing, on a wt. basis, 17-19% Ni, 12-13% Co, 3.5-4.5% Mo, 1.6- 1.75% Ti and 0.05-0.15% Al and comprising the remainder of iron and impurities at about 800-850 deg.C for about 1-2hr. Subsequently, spinning processing is performed in a thickness reducing ratio of 20% or more at 200 deg.C or less and heat treatment is applied at 760-820 deg.C. Further, spinning processing is performed in a thickness reducing ratio ranging from 55-80% and, thereafter, ageing treatment is performed at about 460-540 deg.C for about 1-24hr. By this method, a maraging rotor which is reinforced to a degree of 255-270kgf/mm. and can be used without anxiety is obtained.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a high specific resistance without losing strength and retention by using rotary yoke material containing Ni, Al, Mo and/or W and Ti in a specific proportion, the residue being substantially iron. CONSTITUTION:A rotary yoke 3 of a magnetic bearing is disposed opposite to a fixed yoke 6, and rotated with a rotor 2 at high speed. The rotary yoke 3 is formed of composition material containing 4 to 23wt% of Ni, 0.7 to 3.2wt% of Al, 1.4 to 6wt% of Mo and/or W and 0.05 to 0.1wt% of one or two and more kinds among Ti, Zr, Ta and niobium, the residue being substantially composed of rion. Such rotary yoke material is soft magnetic material having high strength, which can provide large specific resistance and facilitate manufacturing the yoke.
