    • PURPOSE:To simplify and ensure operation, by providing a hook and a hook lockup means on one of a cargo box and a gate flap and a lockup pin on the other and by automatically locking up the hook by the lockup means at the same time when the hook is engaged with the lockup pin. CONSTITUTION:When a tail flap 3 is unlocked, a stopper 24 is disengaged from a step 20 and a hook 14 is energized for upward swing by a spring 21 and an engaging groove 17 is open obliquely downward forth. When the tail 3 is turned upward from that state, a lockup pin 12 provided on the side wall 29 of a cargo box comes into contact with the guide face 19 of the hook 14 to swing the hook downward. When the flap 3 is pushed on the cargo box, the groove 17 is engaged with the pin 12 and simultaneously the stopper 24 is swung by the spring 21 and engaged with the step 20 to lock up the hook 14 and secure the flap 3 on the cargo box 1. To unlock the hook 14, the stopper 24 is disengaged from the step 20 by a lever 23 and the flap 3 is swung, thereby automatically unlocking the hook 14.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle body including a side panel which can be opened while surely and accurately closing a gap between a hook element and fixed contact element without generating play therein.SOLUTION: A vehicle body comprises at least one side panel 4 that can be opened, and at least one hook unit 1 for locking. The hook unit 1 is connected rotatable to a support 2 and a pin 12 fixed to the support 2. A hook element 3 includes a first operation end portion 8 and a second end portion 9 which can be hung on a fixed contact element during use. Furthermore, the hook element 3 is movable, with respect to the support 2, between an expansion position and a shrinkage position so as to be orthogonal to a main axis of rotation and by interposing elastic return means 11 between the support 2 and the hook element 3, the hook element 3 is returned to the shrinkage position.

The pivotal portion 18 between said connecting rod 15 and chassis 1 and the pivotal portion 20 between the rear body 3 and chassis 1 are somewhat longitudinally deviated from each other and thereby the connecting rod 15 pivots the latch 7 in the releasing direction to disengaged it from the dump door 5 when the rear body 3 is raised.
