    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a multipurpose application and extend durability by drilling a coupling hole through a gap seal part, internally coupling a bore seal part to the hole detachably, and keeping the bore seal part changeable to another seal part. SOLUTION: A gasket 10 is used in such a state as pressed and clamped in a gap between the opposed faces of a cylinder head 1 and a cylinder block 2. An annular bore seal part 5 faced to the internal space 4 of a cylinder and a remaining gap seal part 6 are formed out of separate parts. In addition, a coupling hole 7 is drilled through the gap seal part 6, and the bore seal part 5 is internally coupled to the hole 7 detachably, thereby allowing the bore seal part 5 to be changed to another bore seal. Furthermore, single type is prepared for the gap seal part 6, and the bore seal parts 5 of different inner diameter 9 for every plural type of engines having a different bore are prepared. Thereafter, the corresponding bore seal part 5 is selected for every engine having a different bore 8, and coupled to the hole 7 of the gap seal part 6.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent a noise from being generated due to generation of vibration in a lateral external side wall of a primary silencing chamber and to prevent charging efficiency from worsening in a combustion chamber due to a back pressure by making an exhaust flow smoothly flow in an expansion type silencing chamber. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of exhaust ports 3a, 3b... are opened to be arranged in a longitudinal direction to one side surface 2 in a machine wall of a multicylinder engine 1. A muffler 4, formed with an expansion type primary silencing chamber 5, is fixed to the one side surface 2 of the machine wall in a lateral external side of each exhaust port 3a, 3'b..., and each exhaust port 3a, 3b... is opened to appear in the primary silencing chamber 5, to open a primary silencing chamber outlet 6 to one end side part in a longitudinal direction of the primary silencing chamber 5. Each direction changing plate 8a, 8b... for smoothly changing a direction of each exhaust flow 7a. 7b..., jetted in to a lateral direction from each exhaust port 3a, 3b..., to a longitudinal direction toward the primary silencing chamber outlet 6, in the primary silencing chamber 5 of the muffler 4, is provided in a position corresponding to each exhaust port 3a, 3b....

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the displacement of a quantity regulating rack at reassembling by providing a rack temporary fixing means on a fuel injection pump to set the fuel limiting position of the quantity regulating rack of a fuel injection pump, and temporarily fixing the rack in the fuel limiting position by the rack temporary fixing means. CONSTITUTION:A fuel injection pump 3 is inserted to a pump receiving chamber 9, and operated by the rising and lowering of a tappet 13. The fuel feed quantity is regulated by a regulating rack 4 interlocked to a speed governor lever 1. At the time of reassembling for maintenance, the quantity regulating rack 4 is situated in a proper fuel limit position 6 which was set at the beginning, and the quantity regulating rack 4 is temporarily fixed by a rack temporary fixing means 7. The fuel injection pump 3 is removed to perform maintenance, and, thereafter, it is assembled and connected to the quantity regulating rack 4. Even in case of such reassembling, the fuel limit position 6 of the quantity regulating rack 4 is prevented from being shifted from the original proper position.
