    • PURPOSE:To remove the matters attached onto a slider surface by providing a contact start-stop zone which contains a filler of a large quantity or large grain sizes having different data zones and surface structures and the rough surface accuracy. CONSTITUTION:A coating material consisting of the magnetic powder, a binder, a solvent and a large quantity of filler (alumina abrasive grains) having large grain sizes is applied a spin coating machine only in a CSS zone 2 of a substrate 1. Then a coating material having the prescribed electrical characteristics is applied to the entire surface of the substrate 1 and then hardened by a heat treatment carried out at a high temperature. Here, a prescribed film thickness 6 is secured by means of a grinder. Thus a film containing a protruded filler with rough surface accuracy is formed at a CSS zone of a magnetic recording medium containing said filler of a large quantity or large grain sizes.

    • PURPOSE:To thoroughly and efficiently eliminate the particle of dust or the like stuck on the surface of a disk even while a device is operated by symmetrically forming triangular wing-like projecting parts to the incoming ends of rails on the both sides of a floating type magnetic head slider. CONSTITUTION:As for the positional relation between head incoming ends 11 and 12 and the triangular wing-like projecting parts 15 and 16, the incoming end 12 of the slider rail 14 on the inside circumference side of a slider 10 is positioned to the outside circumference from the projecting part 16, and the incoming end 11 of the slider rail 13 on the outside circumference side is positioned to the inside circumference from the projecting part 15. In the case that a magnetic head is moved by a seaking action, the particle attached on the rotating magnetic disk contacts with the side edge parts 17 and 18 of the projecting parts, first, and it is scraped by the side edge parts 17 and 18. Besides, it is carried along the front edge part and the surface of the disk is cleaned without catching the scraped dust from the tapered part of the incoming end.
