The supporting carriage 5 is formed to be used commonly for support and replacement for all the neutron source metals.

摘要： PURPOSE:To set a specified load accurately and quickly, by providing an opening at the center of a part where a constant load tester is placed to adjust and set a test piece. CONSTITUTION:An opening 30 of a support plate 14 is provided at the center thereof so as to coincide with the center of a constant load tester 12 to be placed thereon. In the procedure of setting a load, the length of an upper screw part of a test piece where to be engaged with an upper nut 24b is adjusted so that a lower spring seat 20a is extended enough in the length to engage with a lower nut 24a. Finally, with the load kept applied, a box spanner or the like is inserted from under the opening 30 of the support plate 14 to mount a lower nut 24a on a test piece 15. In this case, the load setting can be made without removing the previous load on the constant load tester thereby permitting a reduction in the variation range of a load to be set. Therefore, a handle 1 is reversed to remove the previous load and then, the constant load tester 12 with the load set is removed off a base plate 13. Thus, all setting work is completed.
