    • PURPOSE:To exactly detect the existence of a parking vehicle over a wide range at low cost by detecting a measuring point having luminance higher than reference luminance on the surface of a road as a high luminance point among measuring points set on the surface of the road. CONSTITUTION:A luminance difference calculation part 42 calculates difference (a difference value) between the luminance data of respective picture elements in a measuring area and the reference luminance on the surface of the road. Namely, the reference luminance is calculated, this value is compared with the luminance data at the respective measuring points, and a ternary image frame is generated and impressed to a data adding part 44. The data dding part 44 overlaps the plural ternary image frames generated at fixed time intervals, processes comparison between the frames and stores the count value of a high luminance point counter in a counter table. Next, a vehicle recognition part 51 recognizes one vehicle based on the count value stored in the counter table and concerning the vehicle, a parking judgement part 52 judges 'parking' for the vehicle judged as 'still' for fixed time.

    • PURPOSE:To offer the control method for the parking lot which controls the parking positions of vehicles and no-vehicle positions by simple facilities and enables the smooth payment of parking charges by measuring only parking times. CONSTITUTION:An image of the parking floor is picked up by an image pickup camera 14, and this parking lot image is inputted by an image processor 16 at specific intervals of time and processed to detect a vehicle in movement; and the position corresponding to the position of the vehicle 40 is registered on a parking lot map 36 in a control computer 20 according to position information on the vehicle 40 and while the parking lot map 36 is updated at the specific intervals time, the position of the vehicle is tracked to control the parking positions and no-vehicle positions. Further, the position corresponding to the parking position is registered on the parking lot map 36 according to the detected parking position information on the vehicle and while the parking lot map 36 is updated, the parking time of the vehicle 40 is measured to find the parking charge from the measured parking time.

The display (3) shows the remaining time stored in the storage (1), and thereafter the allowed parking time (8) remaining at any time in the current zone, and also the set zone (9). Preferably, the parking meter is designed as a card (6) in which the components of the parking meter are embedded.

    • PURPOSE: To add timer recorder functions to a time register, by using in common the clocking circuit of a timer register and a journal printer for receipt printing even for the time recorder.
      CONSTITUTION: When an interruption signal is sent out to an interruption line INT2 by the insertion of a magnetic card, a card reader 8 is accessed and data for motor control is sent to the reader through a bus DB. A display part 17 displays time charge data in response to the operation of the time register and a timer display 9 provided to the card reader 8 displays the present time at intervals of one minute by prescribed interruption processing. A one-minute pulse oscillator 18 is connected to the 1st interruption line INT-1 and outputs a specific interruption signal at intervals of one minutes, and a CPU14 responds to it to execute a periodic interruption processing program, performing various data update operations.
