    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable not only either a display part or a setting part to be easily and optionally emphasized but also key protection to be easily carried out by a method wherein either of two or more display parts and setting parts of the display panel of an electronic equipment main body is covered with a mask member mounted on the electronic equipment main body in a movable manner. SOLUTION: A mask member 13 is composed of a mask plate 14 which partially covers the display surface 2B of a display panel 2 and lateral legs 15L and 15R provided to the mask plate 14 and possessed of engaging projections 16L and 16R. A slide groove 5 is provided to both lateral sides of the display panel 2 in a vertical direction respectively. The mask member 13 is mounted on the display panel 2 making their projections 16L and 16R engaged with the slide grooves 5 in a slidable manner. When a set value is emphasized, the mask member 13 is moved to cover the indicated figures 8 of a current value display A. When a current value is emphasized, the mask member 13 is moved to a set value display B to cover the indicated figures 9 of the set value display B.

    • PURPOSE:To surely protect the secrecy of liquid crystal cell at need by providing a pair of front and rear polarizers which are disposed to both the front and rear surfaces of a liquid crystal cell and constitute the device body together with a liquid crystal and mounting the front side polarizer attachably and detachably to the device body. CONSTITUTION:The two polarizers 19, 20 constitute the device body 21 together with the liquid crystal cell 11, etc., and the front side polarizer 20 is mounted attachably and detachably by an insertion operation between guide parts 22 and 22 formed to a cover so that only the user can view the display information. The user removes the front side polarizer 20 from between the guide parts 22 and 22 and bring the polarizer to just before the user's eyes if the user does not want the display information to be seen by other persons. Then, only the user who uses this polarizer 20 can view the display information. The secrecy of the display information is thus preserved. The user is able to confidentially see the display information without having polarizing spectacles; in addition, the possibility of the loss, etc., of the polarizer is eliminated.

    • PURPOSE:To surely prevent malfunction in the position with dial graduation 0 by furnishing a dial graduation zero position sensing mechanism, which senses the position 0 on the dial graduation and sets the time limit of a time limit setting circuit to zero. CONSTITUTION:When it is desired to forcedly finish the time limiting motion for the purpose of maintenance or adjustment while a timer device is in service with a long time range, for ex. 100hr range, a dial 1 is returned to the position with graduation 0 on the indication scale, and now a cam 7 is driven together with a variable resistor 2, and a boss 8a on a follower piece 8 is fitted in a recess 7a of this cam 7 in the position with graduation 0 on the dial 1. Accordingly the follower piece 8 displaces, and a normally open fixed contact 9 is closed with a movable contact 10, and a time limit setting circuit 3 sets momentarily the time to 'zero'. Therefore, the time limit 'zero' is set certainly only with restitution of the dial 1 to graduation 'zero' position even though the resistance value does not become zero ohm precisely from the characteristic of the variable resistance 2.
