    • PURPOSE:To exactly detect the existence of a parking vehicle over a wide range at low cost by detecting a measuring point having luminance higher than reference luminance on the surface of a road as a high luminance point among measuring points set on the surface of the road. CONSTITUTION:A luminance difference calculation part 42 calculates difference (a difference value) between the luminance data of respective picture elements in a measuring area and the reference luminance on the surface of the road. Namely, the reference luminance is calculated, this value is compared with the luminance data at the respective measuring points, and a ternary image frame is generated and impressed to a data adding part 44. The data dding part 44 overlaps the plural ternary image frames generated at fixed time intervals, processes comparison between the frames and stores the count value of a high luminance point counter in a counter table. Next, a vehicle recognition part 51 recognizes one vehicle based on the count value stored in the counter table and concerning the vehicle, a parking judgement part 52 judges 'parking' for the vehicle judged as 'still' for fixed time.

    • PURPOSE:To achieve a higher measuring accuracy, by setting the locus range on the screen corresponding to the height of a moving body feature above a road to extract feature points within the range. CONSTITUTION:An image data of a tail lamp (TL) on a vehicle inputted from a TV camera 1 is converted 2 into digital from analog and the vertical and horizontal ways thereof are inputted into a video memory 3, for example, having an address of 512X512. Data alone on a slit (locus detection area of TL) is extracted 4 from the image data of 512X512 and the image data extracted is binary coded 5 by a threshold value for detecting TL. Then, based on results of the binary coding the TL is separated from noises with a TL extraction processing section 6 and the position of the TL extracted in terms of time is tracked by the slit number with a measuring position correspondence processing section 7. Then, a speed calculation processing section 8 reversely converts the address of the slit obtained from the processing section 7 to the position on the road using the position on the road determined with the processing section 4 and a correspondence table of slit number to calculate the speed to be displayed 9.

CONSTITUTION:A communication equipment 1 is set on the inside of a structure (the inside of a car, for example) electromagnetically shielded and the 1st photoelectric converting element 4 and the 1st electrooptic converting element 6 are connected to the communication equipment 1 through electrical or optical conductors 2 and 3. The respective elements 4 and 6 are attached to a light transmitting element, a window glass 5. The 2nd electrooptic converting element 7 and the 2nd photoelectric converting element 8 are attached to the outside positions of the structure which are opposed to the positions on which the elements 4 and 6 are attached through the glass. These elements 7 and 8 are connected to a processing part 8 mounted at the outside of the structure through conductors 9 and 10, respectively, communicating with external other communication equipment through an outside antenna 12.

    • PURPOSE:To use a vehicle detecting system outside, and to improve detecting accuracy by impressing an alternating voltage to a loop coil embedded under a road surface, and detecting the change of an inductance based on a flowing current. CONSTITUTION:Loop coils 1 to 4, an alternating voltage impressing part (alternating voltage impressing means) 5, and a vehicle detecting part (a vehicle detecting means) 6 are provided, and the loop coils 1 to 4 are embedded under the road surface of a parking area where the vehicles are parked. When the alternating voltages are impressed to the loop coils 1 to 4, the constant alternating current flows through the loop coils 1 to 4, and when the vehicle is parked on the road surface, the self-inductances of the loop coils 1 to 4 embedded under the road surface are changed, and the alternating current value is changed. Thus by detecting the alternating current value, the presence/absence of the vehicle can be highly accurately detected.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the traffic flow measuring accuracy in a traffic flow supervising system by providing a pulse processing means which supervises the traffic flow of vehicles running on a road surface based on a pulse signal. CONSTITUTION:Loop coils 8 and 9, pulse forming parts (pulse forming means) 10 and 11, and a pulse processing part (pulse processing means) 12 and provided. Based on an output value from >= two loop coils 8 and 9 embedded at regular intervals under the road surface in the direction orthogonal to the running direction of vehicles 13 and 16, the traffic flow of the vehicles 13 and 16 running on the road surface is supervised by the pulse signals generated by the pulse forming means 10 and 11. Thus the pulses conforming to the vehicle width of the running vehicles 13 and 16 can be obtained, and according to the number of the arrangement of the loop coils embedded under the road surface, the traffic flow (the traffic, a vehicle type, a speed, etc.) of the small vehicle, intermediate vehicle, and large vehicle can be discriminated.
