    • PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of fretting, to reduce the occurrence of initial wear, and to improve draping properties, fatigue resistance, and seizure resistance by a method wherein a composite plating layer formed by PTFE, Ni, and/or Co is formed on the outermost surface side of a back plate or on the outermost surface of a bearing alloy layer. CONSTITUTION:In a substance in which an aluminum or copper bearing alloy layer 2 and an overlay layer 3, where necessary, are orderly formed on the surface of a back plate 1, composite plating layers 4 and 5 of PTFE, Ni, and/or Co is formed on an outermost surface on the bearing alloy layer 2 side, on the outermost surface of the back plate 1, or the outermost surfaces of both the bearing alloy layer 2 and the back plate 2. This constitution improves adhesion of a surface on which the composite plating layer is formed, reduces a friction factor, and improves heat resistance, resulting in prevention of the occurrence of fretting. Further, this constitution improves draping properties, reduces the occurrence of initial wear through the action of the draping properties, and improves wear resistance through the presence of Ni and the like.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of an on-vehicle continuously variable transmission capable of suitably restraining an increase in engine oil consumption at a high vehicle speed.
      SOLUTION: This control device of the on-vehicle continuously variable transmission CVT can steplessly and continuously change the gear ratio. The gear ratio of the CVT is controlled so that an input shaft rotating speed (≈ an engine speed) of the CVT is maintained in a high rotation guard value Llim or less by setting a control area of the CVT regulated by the most speed increase line Lhi, the most speed reduction line Llo and the high rotation guard value Llim. The increase in the engine oil consumption at the high vehicle speed is restrained by reducing a maximum engine speed of an engine in high speed travel by reducing the high rotation guard value Llim in such a CVT control area as compared with nonesuch time when a vehicle speed is a specified value or more.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piping waterproof connection structure enabling sufficient waterproofing of waterdrops scattered in intake air of an internal combustion engine and having high flexibility of a mounting position of piping of an intake air sensor, etc.
      SOLUTION: In the waterproof connection structure, a slotted opening part 14a comprising bent lower edge and a linear upper edge is provided on a partition wall 12. This prevents generation of a water screen on the whole area of the opening part 14a, so as to successfully maintain pressure transmission to an intake pressure sensor. Since the water screen is not formed on the whole area, waterdrops flied from the opening part 14a are easily discharged from the opening part 14a to the side of a surge tank. Since a connection space 14 is expanded with respect to the opening part 14a and a tip opening on the side of a pressure delivery pipe 16a, water entered to inside of the connection space 14 hardly narrows or clogs the opening part 14a and the tip opening. Therefore, this can achieve sufficient waterproofing. Moreover, since only the connection space 14, the partition wall 12 and the opening 14a are provided in a connection portion of the pressure delivery pipe 16a, this structure extremely enhances the degree of freedom of the mounting position to the surge tank.

      SOLUTION: Provided to the adjuster bracket 8 is a plastically deformed section that causes the bolt inserting section 13 to be displaced in the direction that weakens the tension of the endless belt when the tension of the endless belt has exceeded a predetermined value during tightening the adjuster bolt 15.
