    • PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of fretting, to reduce the occurrence of initial wear, and to improve draping properties, fatigue resistance, and seizure resistance by a method wherein a composite plating layer formed by PTFE, Ni, and/or Co is formed on the outermost surface side of a back plate or on the outermost surface of a bearing alloy layer. CONSTITUTION:In a substance in which an aluminum or copper bearing alloy layer 2 and an overlay layer 3, where necessary, are orderly formed on the surface of a back plate 1, composite plating layers 4 and 5 of PTFE, Ni, and/or Co is formed on an outermost surface on the bearing alloy layer 2 side, on the outermost surface of the back plate 1, or the outermost surfaces of both the bearing alloy layer 2 and the back plate 2. This constitution improves adhesion of a surface on which the composite plating layer is formed, reduces a friction factor, and improves heat resistance, resulting in prevention of the occurrence of fretting. Further, this constitution improves draping properties, reduces the occurrence of initial wear through the action of the draping properties, and improves wear resistance through the presence of Ni and the like.

    • PURPOSE:To disassemble an outer ring and an inner ring in simple manner by installing a cylindrical inner ring having a projecting spherical surface on the outer surface and a cylindrical outer ring which has a recessed spherical surface on the inner surface and the less length in the axial direction than that of the inner ring and forming an inner ring inserting and releasing groove on the outer ring. CONSTITUTION:A recessed spherical surface 11 and an inner ring inserting and releasing groove 12 having the equal outer diameter to the inner diameter of the recessed spherical surface 11 are formed on an outer ring 10. Since the thickness in the axial direction of the inner ring inserting and releasing groove 12 is set slightly larger than the thickness in the axial direction of an inner ring 20, the inner ring 20 can be inserted into the inner ring inserting and releasing groove 12 in a state where the shaft 01 of the outer ring 10 and the shaft 02 of the inner ring 20 cross. Since the outer surface of the inner ring 20 is formed in a projecting spherical surface, the inner ring 20 is inserted into the inner ring inserting and releasing groove 12, and then the inner ring 20 can be revolved, and assembly is carried out.

    • PURPOSE:To improve conformability of a belt type continuous variable transmission mechanism and also to obtain a high width accuracy as well as to obtain a high constant friction coefficient, by executing shot blast processing on the side end surface of the block of a belt type continuous variable transmission mechanism (CVT). CONSTITUTION:The space between a movable flange 1b and a fixed flange 1a is set at a value necessary for the desired speed change. The space between the opposing surfaces 1c of the flanges 1a, 1b changes as well. A block 10 is always in contact with the opposing surfaces 1c through contact inclined surfaces 10a, and this contact position changes in directon A in accordance with the change of the space D. When the block 10 is in the position necessary for the desired speed change, the rotational force necessary for speed change is transmitted to the block 10 through the contact inclined surface 10a. The side end surface of the block 10 is subjected to shot blast processing, for example, under the conditions such as air pressure of 6-8kgf/cm , nozzle diameter of 10mm., shot of 14 mesh alumina, shot period of approximately 1min. Consequently, numerous pores of depth 15-20mu are formed on the side end surfaces of the block 10.
