摘要： The invention is an exercise machine (20) for exercising many major muscle groups in the body without stressing the arm or knee joints. An inclined bench (24) mounts rigidly within a frame (22) and in specific relationship to a pair of horizontal axes about which a pair of arm levers (40) and a pair of leg levers (60) pivot, respectively. The arm pivot is located with respect to the bench at the user's shoulder joint, while the leg pivot is located with respect to the bench at the user's hip joint. The rotation of the arm and leg levers (40, 60) may be independent, or may be coupled. The rotation of the arm and leg levers are subject to a torque resistance applied by springs, cables and dead weights, frictional resisted loads, or viscous damping. In one embodiment, the rotation of the arm and leg levers are coupled via a linkage mechanism which drives a locomotive style crank for rotating a flywheel. The flywheel is subject to a braking force by an adjustable means to vary the amount of torque resistance applied to the arm and leg levers.

摘要： An apparatus (1) and a method for performing a shoulder press exercise are disclosed. A user support (11) and a primary hinge (30) are mounted to a frame (10). A secondary hinge (32, 34) is mounted to the primary hinge (30). An arm (60) mounted to the secondary hinge (32, 34) has a handle (61) adapted to be grasped by the user. The two hinges permit displacement of the handle (61) in either or both the longitudinal and lateral directions against a resistance means. The resistance means may include an incremental weight stack (70) operably engaged to the handle (61) by belts (39, 40) directed by self-aligning pulleys (270). The arms (60) may be connected such that both handles (61) move the same longitudinal and/or lateral distance. To use the exercise machine, a user selects a weight for exercise, sits on the user support (11), grasps the handle (61) and pushes upward from his shoulders, moving the handle (61) longitudinally and laterally as he so chooses, overcoming the resistance.

摘要： Fitness equipment is described including a frame part, an operation part, a drive part and a control part. The drive part includes a load device (1) in which a pair of rotary disks (2) are disposed on a rotary load shaft (3) in parallel to each other, and an electromagnet (4) is disposed on the side surface side of the two rotary disks (2).
