摘要： A low-absorption circuit device (1) for controlling into the on state a power transistor (2), in particular a D MOS transistor having conventional gate (G), drain (D), and source (S) electrodes, and adapted to drive electrical loads (5) by changing over from an off state to an on state in which there appears on the gate electrode a predetermined voltage value Vcp), comprises a first turn-on circuit (6) connected to one pole of a voltage supply (Vcc), a second turn-on circuit (7) connected to another supply voltage pole (Vcp), and a comparator having respective inputs connected to the gate electrode (G) of the power transistor (2) and to a reference voltage pole (Vr) as well as respective outputs connected to each respective turn-on circuit (6,7) to activate said circuits alternately based on a comparison of the gate voltage of the power transistor with the predetermined reference voltage (Vr).

摘要： An electronic comparator circuit (1), of a type which comprises a first, differential stage (2) input circuit portion provided with a differential pair of bipolar transistors (T2,T3) forming respective outputs of thee input portion (2), is further provided with an output stage (3) comprising a first pair of MOS transistors (M1,M2), with gate electrodes (G1,G2) in common, respectively connected on the one side to said outputs (C2,C3) and on the other side to a positive supply pole (Vc) via a current mirror circuit, and a second pair of MOS transistors (M5,M6), with gate electrodes (G5,G6) in common, connected between said outputs (C2,C3) and ground. A drain electrode (D2) of the first pair of MOS transistors (M1,M2) forms an output (OUT) for the comparator (1), the latter having shown itself to be specially fast during the switch phase and combining the advantages of bipolar technology circuits and of those in the CMOS technology.

摘要： The turn-off delay time of a low-side driver (output power transistor), may be independently reduced and eventually made identical to the turn-on delay time by employing an auxiliary current generator that may be controlled by the same switching signal that controls a current generator employed for discharging the control node of the low-side driver, in order to provide an augmented discharging current during a first phase of a turn-off process. The contribution to the capacitance discharge current provided by said third current generator is automatically interrupted by means responsive to the voltage present on the driving node of the low-side driver, when it approaches saturation.
