摘要： An intradermal injection device comprising a unitary body having an open distal end and a proximal end having a skin engaging surface defined thereon, a reservoir defined between the proximal and distal ends for accommodating a drug substance, and a channel defined at the proximal end of the unitary body and extending through, and distally from, the skin engaging surface to the reservoir. A needle cannula having a sharpened proximal end and a distal end may be provided in the channel. The needle cannula is secured in the channel with the distal end being in communication with the reservoir and the proximal end of the needle cannula extending from the skin engaging surface a distance in the range of about 0.5 mm to 3.0 mm such that the skin engaging surface limits penetration of the proximal end of the needle cannula to the dermis layer of the skin of a patient.

摘要： A medical package has a tub (20) and a lid (60). The tub has a four-sided base (22) with walls (24, 26, 28, 30) extending upwards therefrom; the walls terminate at a first flange (34) that extends outwardly. From the first flange, four top walls (38, 40, 42, 44) extend upward and terminate at a second flange which extends outwardly. The tub is formed of a clear, ultraviolet light transmitting plastic. The lid has a gas permeable, microfiber central portion (62) surrounded by a clear, ultraviolet light transmitting plastic film (64). The film has a high shear resistance and does not produce particulate matter during an opening procedure.

摘要： An intradermal delivery device for use in intradermally injecting substances into the skin of an animal includes a needle cannula supported by a hub portion that is attachable to a prefillable container. A limiter portion surrounds the needle cannula and extends away from the hub portion toward a forward tip of the needle cannula. The limiter portion includes a skin engaging surface extending in a plane generally perpendicular to an axis of the needle cannula. The skin engaging surface is received against skin of an animal to administer an intradermal injection. The forward tip extends beyond the skin engaging surface a distance that enables penetration of the needle cannula into the dermis layer of the skin of the animal enabling injection of the substance into the dermis layer of the animal. The device includes enclosure means that is moveable for concealing the needle cannula after the injection has been administered.

摘要： A prefillable delivery device fro administering intradermal injections includes a prefillable container adapter to store a substance. The substrate is expelled through a needle cannula having a forward tip adapted to administer the intradermal injection. A limiter surrounds the needle cannula having a generally flat skin engaging surface extending in a plane generally perpendicular to the needle cannula. An insert is centrally located within the skin engaging surface and is piercable by the forward tip. A sleeve with a first end and a second end surrounds the prefillable container. The limiter is slidably inserted through the first end and the second end is affixed to a depressable pluger for expelling the substance form the container. The limiter is movable between a first position and a second position thereby exposing the forward tip an is selectively movable between a third position and a fourth position thereby concealing the forward tip.

摘要： Methods and apparatus for collecting and processing tissue to produce an endothelial cell product having a vessel (11) for rinsing, draining, digesting and isolating tissue. The vessel (11) has a rinsing and digesting chamber (19) for containing tissue during processing. An inlet (20) in the rinsing and digesting chamber (19) allows entry of rinsing solution and tissue from a liposuction device. A waste chamber (22) in fluid communication with the rinsing and digesting chamber (19) preferably connects with a vacuum source. An isolation chamber (29) is separated from the rinsing and digesting chamber (19) by a screen (30). An ampule (31) in fluid communication with the isolation chamber (29) includes a pair of ports (34, 35) controlled by valve devices (37, 45) to be selectively in fluid communication with the isolation chamber (29). After processing, the ampule (31) isolates a pellet of endothelial cells and the valve devices (37, 45) permit the pellet to be in fluid communication with the ports (34, 35). The method includes providing the vessel (11), introducing tissue to be processed, orienting the vessel (11) to screen the tissue, introducing an enzyme and agitating to digest the tissue, centrifuging the vessel to transfer the cells from the digested tissue, and isolating the cells for retrieval.

A needle (18) is supported by the hub (16) and has a forward tip (20) extending away from the hub (16). A limiter (22) surrounds the needle (18) and extends away from the hub (16) toward the forward tip (20) of the needle (18). The limiter (22) includes a generally flat skin engaging surface (24) extending in a plane generally perpendicular to an axis of the needle (18) and is adapted to be received against the skin (26) to administer an intradermal injection. The limiter (22) is movable between a first position (28), wherein the skin engaging surface (24) shields the needle (18), and a second position (30), wherein the forward tip (20) extends beyond the skin (26) upon depressing the skin engaging surface (24) against the skin (26).
