摘要： A syringe assembly (10) is provided with a barrel (12) having a barrel tip portion (20), a puncture needle (14) projecting from the barrel tip portion (20), and a cap (16) that is detachably mountable to the barrel (12) so as to seal a distal end of a needle hole (28) . The cap (16) has a receiving hole (38) that receives the puncture needle (14), a bottom wall portion (36) into which the puncture needle (14) is inserted, and a stopper portion (48) that defines an insertion length of the puncture needle (14) relative to the bottom wall portion (36). In a state in which the cap (16) is mounted to the barrel (12), the length (L1) from the most proximal position of a contact region between the cap (16) and the puncture needle (14) to the most proximal position of an edge surface (30) is 1 to 3 mm.

摘要： An intradermal injection device comprising a unitary body having an open distal end and a proximal end having a skin engaging surface defined thereon, a reservoir defined between the proximal and distal ends for accommodating a drug substance, and a channel defined at the proximal end of the unitary body and extending through, and distally from, the skin engaging surface to the reservoir. A needle cannula having a sharpened proximal end and a distal end may be provided in the channel. The needle cannula is secured in the channel with the distal end being in communication with the reservoir and the proximal end of the needle cannula extending from the skin engaging surface a distance in the range of about 0.5 mm to 3.0 mm such that the skin engaging surface limits penetration of the proximal end of the needle cannula to the dermis layer of the skin of a patient.

摘要： A hand-held pre-filled syringe assembly comprises a syringe barrel, a piston slidably located within the syringe barrel, biasing means coupled to the piston and acting to bias the piston within the syringe barrel, a hypodermic needle, and an openable closure having an inlet and an outlet disposed between the syringe barrel and the hypodermic needle. The inlet of the openable closure is removably coupled to a nozzle of the syringe barrel by a first coupling and the outlet of the openable closure is coupled to a proximal end of the hypodermic needle by a second coupling. The openable closure defines a through-channel extending between the inlet and the outlet that is closed by a normally-closed valve. The syringe assembly contains a liquid medicament retained within the syringe barrel under pressure applied by the piston such that the liquid medicament is delivered through the hypodermic needle when the normally-closed valve is opened.
