    • The invention relates to a method for controlling a motor vehicle drive train comprising an internal combustion engine (2), an electric motor/generator (3) and a gearbox transmission (4), which are intercoupled by means of a summarising gear (5, 15) that has two input elements (6, 7) and one output element (8) and by means of a lock-up clutch (12) that is configured as a friction clutch, the first input element being rotatably fixed to the crankshaft (9) of the internal combustion engine (2), the second input element being rotatably fixed to the rotor (10) of the electric motor/generator (3) and the output element (8) being rotatably fixed to the input shaft (11) of the gearbox transmission (4). According to said method, the lock-up clutch (12) is situated between two elements of the summarising gear (5, 15). According to the invention, when the lock-up clutch (12) is disengaged, a speed differential that exists between the internal combustion engine (2) and the input shaft (11) of the gearbox transmission (4) is synchronised by the electric motor/generator (3) and if required, also by a controlled engagement of the lock-up clutch (12). To improve the synchronisation process, the lock-up clutch (12) is brought at the start of synchronisation to its point of application, before assisting the electric motor/generator (3) by being engaged.
