    • Disclosed are a method and a system for determining the point of engagement of a motor vehicle clutch (MSK), especially a clutch located in the transfer box of an all-wheel drive motor vehicle, which can be actuated by means of a positioning device. Said positioning device comprises an electrically driven positioning motor (GM) which supplies a motor torque and a motor speed at the output end, is effectively connected to a positioning mechanism (102, 103, 104) that actuates the clutch (MSK), and can be actuated by means of a control unit (508). In order to determine the point of engagement, the positioning motor (GM) is impinged upon by a constant voltage while the motor speed, and especially also the motor current, is detected in accordance with the rotation angle position in a first mode of operation, and/or the positioning motor (GM) is impinged upon by a constant current while the motor speed is detected in accordance with the rotation angle position in a second mode of operation, and the point of engagement is determined from the detected values of the engine speed, which depend on the rotation angle position, and especially also from the values of the motor current.
