摘要： The invention comprises a double loop channel type induction furnace of which the floor has a base on a first side of its hearth and a ramp which rises from the base to terminate in a plateau above the passages at a location distal from the first side. The ramp and plateau extends at least partly between opposing end walls of the furnace, and the plateau includes a trench which extends at least partly between opposing ends of the plateau. The trench is in fluid communication with the passages and the bottom of the trench is located in a plane higher than the plane in which the furnace floor is located. The base of the furnace floor is in fluid communication with the central passage by means of a floor passage that extends from the base of the floor to the central passage through the ramp below the trench.

摘要： The invention relates to electric-arc plasma reactors for producing the melt of refractory, metallic and non-metallic materials and sublimates which have a high viscosity degree and can be used for the cement and chemical industries and metallurgy. The inventive plasma reactor-separator comprises a cylindrical chamber, hollow electrodes entering the chamber through the top lid thereof. Said chamber and lid are provided with elements embodied in the form of shelves and a worm screw, holes for supplying and removing the melt, two coils which encompass the chamber and arranged one above the other. A channel for evacuating the melt of a light binding material is embodied between the holes for removing the melt in the bottom part of the chamber and the lower coil. Raw batch is loaded by means of four lateral feeders through channels which are disposed on a horizontal plane at an angle of 90° to each other in the top part of the chamber above the melt surface, whereby a skull in the form of conical slopes is formed thereon. Heat-exchanging granulating elements (granulators) used for cooling, granulating and recovering heat of a clinker melt are embodied in the form of long metallic cylinders which are rotatable around the axes thereof oppositely with respect to each other and water-cooled from the inside thereof.

摘要： When waste glass that is highly contaminated with organic impurities is melted, these impurities cause the appearance of so-called 'black grains ' which cannot be eliminated in a subsequent refining process and which therefore impair the quality of the glass. According to the invention, gas nozzles (19) for introducing oxygen are arranged in the area of the feed opening (4) of a melting aggregate (2) which is thermally connected to a combustion chamber (3). The organic constituents are thus oxidised specifically and removed as waste gas (21). The invention enables even very highly contaminated waste glass, such as glass fibres, to be fed back into the production process.

摘要： A nosepiece (10) for directing a charge into a crucible (16) of a furnace. The nosepiece comprises a completely enclosed sleeve (32) which more accurately directs the charge into the crucible. The sleeve has a distal portion (32b) that deflects the charge toward a center area of the crucible, thereby minimizing impact of the charge on the top edge of the crucible (16) and its refractory liner. In addition, the nosepiece is split so that the distal portion is movable, thereby to provide access to an interior of the nosepiece. As a result, any bridging in the charge may be addressed by moving the distal portion to an open position.
