    • A wheel structure wherein a hub includes both a hub body and a rubber support member which closes an opening of the hub body. A right bearing disposed on the hub body side and a left bearing disposed on the rubber support member side are rotatably mounted on an axle. An inner collar fitted on the axle is provided for maintaining a constant distance between the right and left bearings. The right bearing is brought into abutment against the rubber support member through a cylindrical outer collar which surrounds the inner collar. When the right bearing is press-fitted into the hub body hole, a press-fit load imposed on the right bearing can be borne by the rubber support member through the outer collar. The rigidity of the hub can be enhanced while preventing deformation. A higher load can be borne to act on the hub during vehicular operation.

    • In a wheel for a motorcycle which is formed by casting as an integral body formed of a hub portion which is supported on an axle, a rim portion which coaxially surrounds the hub portion with a tire mounted thereon, and a plurality of spoke portions which connect the hub portion and the rim portion, the reduction of weight can be realized, and also the reduction of man-hours of a sand removing operation can be realized.
      A spoke portion (35) includes a spoke proximal portion (35a) which extends radially from a hub portion (33) and a pair of spoke branch portions (35b) which is bifurcated from a distal end portion of the spoke proximal portion (35a) and is contiguously formed with the rim portion (34), and a continuous hollow portion (48) is formed in the spoke proximal portion (35a) and the hub portion (33).

    • Vibrations in the rear wheel caused by variations in the driving power transmitted to the rear wheel via the chain or movements transmitted to the rear wheel from the road surface are damped. The rear wheel includes an axle, a wheel hub, a plurality of bearings, an annular member, a sprocket, elastic members, and a damping mechanism. The axle is inserted into the wheel hub. The bearings are located between the wheel hub and axle such that the wheel hub, bearings and axle are arranged in a radial direction of the wheel hub. The annular member is positioned to be rotatable relative to the wheel hub in a circumferential direction of the wheel hub. The sprocket is coupled to the annular member and the chain is wound around the sprocket. The elastic members elastically deform when the annular member is rotating relative to the wheel hub. The damping mechanism damps vibrations that act to displace the annular member relative to the wheel hub in a circumferential direction with respect to their positions after the rotation of the annular member relative to the wheel hub.
