    • A dual pipette device comprises a pair of housings joined rotatably around a vertically extending axis or disposed for lateral movement, a pair of cylinders disposed respectively at lower sections of the housings, a pair of piston members extending vertically, supported by the housings or the cylinders, and respectively having lower end portions vertically slideable in the cylinders, and dropping tip fitting sections disposed at lower end of the housings or the cylinders so that the dropping tip fitting sections communicate with the cylinders. The piston members are provided with a lock member for locking them to each other when the housings are rotated or laterally moved and the distance between the piston members becomes not larger than a predetermined distance, so that the piston members are vertically slideable integrally with each other.

    • A pipette device comprises a vertical housing, a cylinder member disposed at least in the lower section in the housing and urged upwardly so that the cylinder member is vertically slidable in the housing, a piston member urged upwardly and having a lower end portion vertically slidable in the cylinder member, and an engagement member for transmitting the downward movement of the piston member to the cylinder member. The engagement member engages the piston member with the cylinder member when the piston member moves down to an engagement position lower by a predetermined distance from the top position of the piston memer along the cylinder member, whereby the cylinder member is moved vertically together with the piston member against an upward urging force in the housing when the piston member is moved vertically between the engagement position and a position lower than the engagement position.

    • A method for producing a relief pattern comprising forming one of (i) a silver image, (ii) a silver halide image, or (iii) an image obtained by toning and/or intensifying the silver image or silver halide image, in the emulsion layer of a photographic light-sensitive material which comprises a support having thereon at least one silver halide emulsion layer, either directly or on at least one subbing layer on the support, by image-wise exposing to light and developing, heating the photographic material to decompose the binder of the emulsion layer, and then ion-etching the photographic material to form a relief pattern of the support corresponding to the above-described image.
