A method for tracking the sterilant cassettes includes the steps of reading for the presence of a cassette within a cassette processing area of the sterilizer by transmitting a non-optical electromagnetic signal between the cassette and a receiver on the sterilizer, via the electromagnetic signal transmitting identifying information between the cassette and the receiver, and verifying that a proper cassette is loaded into the sterilizer based upon the identifying information.

摘要： The transmission of buffered data is coordinated between a storage medium and a host in response to a request from the host. One or more blocks of data are transferred from the storage medium to a buffer memory. One or more frames of data are transmitted from the buffer memory to the host, wherein the number of blocks ending in the frame is recorded in a blocks/frame register, and possibly also in a block count accumulator register. Buffer release pulses for releasing buffer space in memory are sent to the buffer memory, based on the number of blocks in the blocks/frame register, or the number of blocks accumulated in the block count accumulator register when a signal is received from the host. A pointer which points to the last block of data successfully transferred is updated in accordance with the buffer release pulses.

摘要： A digital lithographic process first deposits a mask layer comprised of print patterned mask features. The print patterned mask features define gaps into which a target material may be deposited, preferably through a digital lithographic process. The target material is cured or hardened, if necessary, into target features. The mask layer is then selectively removed. The remaining target features may then be used as exposure or etch masks, physical structures such as fluid containment elements, etc. Fine feature widths, narrower the minimum width of the print patterned mask features, may be obtained while realizing the benefits of digital lithography in the manufacturing process.

摘要： Susceptibility of darkfield etch masks (majority of the mask area is opaque) to pinhole defects, transferred pattern, non-uniformity, etc. due to ejector dropout or drop misdirection, and long duty cycles due to large-area coverage, when using digital lithography (or print patterning) is addressed by using a clear-field print pattern that is then coated with etch resist material. The printed clear field pattern is selectively removed to form an inverse pattern (darkfield) within the coated resist layer. Etching then removes selected portions of an underlying (e.g., encapsulation, conductive, etc.) layer. Removal of the mask produces a layer with large-area features with substantially reduced defects.

An foot-activation mechanism for coupling a foot pedal to the lid includes a horizontal wire disposed horizontally across the bottom of the container, and a vertical wire disposed vertically along a side wall of the container. The foot pedal is mounted on the bottom of the container and pivots around a hinge located at a distance from the side wall. When the foot pedal is pressed down, the horizontal wire rotates around its main segment, and the first bent segment pushes the vertical wire upward. The upper end of the vertical wire is coupled to a pivoting portion of a lid mounting member and causes the lid to open when the vertical wire moves upward.
