摘要： A laminar thermoplastic resin structure comprising a plurality of thermoplastic resin layers is obtained by bonding thermoplastic resin layers with a layer, or layers, of a maleic acid-modified block copolymer of a conjugated diene and an aromatic vinyl monomer interposed therebetween.The laminar structure thus obtained possesses a high bonding strength at elevated temperatures, and also excellent processability since the bonding layer per se is of thermoplastic nature. Thus, this laminar structure is particularly suitable as a material for use at elevated temperatures, for example, a packaging material for retort sterilization or a pipe for conducting hot fluids.

摘要： This invention relates to an apparatus for the electrolytic treatment of alkali halide solution in a three chamber type electrolytic bath assembly comprising an anodic chamber, an intermediate chamber and a cathodic chamber arranged one after another in series. Each chamber is separated from its neighboring chamber by means of an anodic ion exchange membrane. The apparatus is characterized, according to this invention, in that the first one of the membranes separating the intermediate and anodic chambers is made of a fluorine-containing resin, while the second membrane separating the intermediate and cathodic chambers includes, as its main ion exchange radical, a pendant type phenolic radical or derivative thereof. The inventive process, which utilizes the above-described apparatus characterized in that it utilizes a caustic alkali concentration in the intermediate chamber which ranges from about 10 - 20 wt. % while the output caustic alkali developed at and delivered from the cathodic chamber amounts to a concentration ranging from about 30 to 50 wt. %.

摘要： A thermoplastic resin composition of excellent transparency and high impact strength is produced by causing methyl methacrylate and styrene monomers to undergo post polymerization in the presence of a conjugated diolefin polymer rubber latex containing at least 50 percent by weight of a conjugated diolefin monomer as the constituent of the rubber such as butadiene, wherein a polyethylene oxide of an average molecular weight of at least 100,000 has been added to the rubber latex either prior to or at the time of the post polymerization to cause the rubber latex to partly coagulate, thereby to prepare a graft polymer. The graft copolymer can be blended with methyl methacrylate-styrene copolymers.

摘要： A flexible carbon material is produced by carbonizing a composite material comprising carbon fibers having an average length of 6 to 50 mm and a binding agent. Carbon lumps are derived from the binding agent and are dispersed in a matrix of the carbon fibers so as to restrain a plurality of the carbon fibers while yet permitting relative slippage to occur as between the carbon fibers and carbon lumps such that the carbon fiber material exhibits a flexibility ratio D/d of not greater than 200 (where D is the diameter of curvature of the carbon material, when bent, just before breakage, and d is the thickness of the carbon material). The carbon fibers and lumps are preferrably present in an amount of from 5 to 50%, and 5 to 70% by volume, respectively, based upon the total volume of the carbon material.
