    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for removing impurities of limestone, in which flotation treatment can be performed stably for even the slurry, which includes a limestone-crushed material having very small particle size and has the solid content of high concentration, and a calcium carbonate-containing substance having a very high degree of whiteness can be obtained and which can allow a flotation apparatus to be made compact and the amount of waste water to be reduced.
      SOLUTION: The method for removing impurities of limestone comprises: a step (A) of dry-crushing limestone including carbon content as impurities to obtain the limestone-crushed material; a step (B) of mixing the limestone-crushed material, water and a dispersant to obtain slurry; a step (C) of wet-crushing the slurry to obtain slurry including the limestone-crushed material; a step (D) of mixing the slurry obtained at the step (C) with a flotation reagent to obtain slurry including the flotation reagent; and a step (E) of subjecting the slurry obtained at the step (D) to flotation treatment to obtain floating minerals including the carbon content and precipitated minerals including calcium carbonate.
