    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for almost fully reusing molding sand and water-soluble inorganic salt binder from a water-soluble core, and an apparatus used in this method.
      SOLUTION: The apparatus for reusing the molding sand and the water-soluble inorganic salt binder, includes: a sand dropping device 1 for removing the molding sand by using water pressure from a casting using a water-soluble core with the water-soluble inorganic salt binder covered on the surface of the molding sand grain; a device 2 for injecting the water-soluble inorganic binder water solution to this sand-dropping device from the following solution buffering vessel through a circulating pump; a sand depositing vessel 3 which is arranged below the the sand dropping device and stores the removed molding sand and mixture composed of the water-soluble inorganic salt binder and the water, for depositing the molding sand; a solution buffering vessel 4 which communicates with the upper part of the sand depositing vessel and stores the water-soluble inorganic salt binder aqueous solution separated from the molding sand; and a dehydrating device 5 which communicates with the lower part of this sand depositing vessel, dehydrates slurry composed of the molding sand, the water-soluble inorganic salt binder and the water to a prescribed concentration, and sends kneaded sand into a molding machine.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology in which the weirs of a plurality of castings are surely and easily folded. SOLUTION: A gate pecker 2a, 2b is provided with an abutting member 40a (41a) on the product side and an abutting member 40b (41b) on the casting plan side. The abutting member 40a (41a) on the product side abuts with a product 24b (24a) and the abutting member 40b (41b) on the casting plan side abuts with a casting plan 20d by opening both the members. The space between product 24a, 24b and a casting plan is broadened so as to be separated into the product 24a, 24b and the casting plan 20d by further opening both the members. When the gate pecker is closed, it can be fitted into the space between the product 24a, 24b and the casting plan commonly with respect to all the kinds of castings 24. Further, the gate pecker is fitted in a position set within a position where it abuts with the casting plan 20d earlier than the product 24a, 24b commonly with respect to all the kinds of castings. While the gate pecker 2a, 2b is freely moved toward the space, the abutting member 40a (41a) on the product side and the abutting member 40b (41b) on the casting plan side are opened.
