    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the excavation efficiency by providing a rotary body provided with a plurality of rows of disk cutters which is of drum shape as an excavation part and rotated around the axis orthogonal to the one extending in the longitudinal direction of a boom on a tip of the boom to allow the excavation of a large area at one time. SOLUTION: A boom 20 comprises an oscillation part 21 which is oscillated in the vertical and right-to-left direction around one point by hydraulic cylinders 22, 24, and an expansion part 23 which is partly penetrated into the oscillation part 21 and whose projection length is changed. Two drum-shaped rotary bodies 32 equipped with a plurality of rows of disk cutters 34 are arranged on a circumferential surface 32a of a tip of the expansion part 23 across the boom 20. When excavation is achieved by the disk cutters 34 by vertically oscillating the boom 20, the reaction to the propulsion of the disk cutters 34 can be canceled by the self weight of a front support 14, a rear support 16, a gripper 18 and an excavator 10, and because the reaction is applied orthogonal to the axis of rotation of the rotary body 32, it is difficult to affect the rotation of the rotary body 32. The rotary body 32 is drum-shaped, wide in the circumferential surface 32a, enabling the excavation with large width.

    • PURPOSE: To contrive the construction of a small-sized and light weight rack by dividing a self-traveling rack into an upper stage and a lower stage and constituting the rack so that both may be connectable and loading a main excavating machine on the lower stage and a post treatment machine and so forth on the upper stage and forming the lower stage under solid structure and the upper stage under soft structure. CONSTITUTION: A lower stage gantry 10 comprising a rack 18 traveling on a rail 17 is designed to be solid enough to withstand stress or vibration produced during excavation in structure on which an outrigger 26 and so forth required for excavation are loaded. On one hand, an upper stage gantry 12 comprising a traveling rack 30 is designed to be relatively light in structure. Main equipment required for post work treatment, such as a man cage 13, which serves as an erector, a spray robot 14, an excavating machine 14 and a support crane are loaded on the upper stage. The lower stage gantry 10 and the upper stage gentry 12 are separatively connected with a connection rod (equivalent to a train connector). This construction makes it possible to shorten the length of each gantry and reduce the total weight of the whole equipment dramatically.

    • PURPOSE:To execute tunnel construction by one excavator by installing a folding type scaffold and a concrete sprayer onto the boom of the tunnel excavator with a cutter supported to the boom and muck shifter. CONSTITUTION:When a facing is excavated by driving a cutter 25 and excavation in a fixed section and the carrying-out of much are completed, booms 24 are held horizontally by hydraulic cylinders 28, and a scaffold 12 on the booms 24 is moved to the position of operation. Developing sections 12B are developed to the outside, handrails 13 are mounted, and timberings are assembled by using the scaffold 12 to which a chain 14 is connected. A hydraulic cylinder 9 is shrunk, an injection nozzle 2 is rotated to the position of usage, and the injection nozzle is directed toward each direction and ready-mixed concrete is sprayed against the wall surface of a tunnel. Rock bolts are driven to bedrock from the upper section of the scaffold 12. Accordingly, various work with tunnel construction can be executed by one excavator.
