PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pick for digging, which surely enhances abrasion resistance by suppressing the separation of a spray deposit.
SOLUTION: When a straight line L1 and a half line L2 are defined as indicated below, an angle θ1, which the straight line L1 forms with the central axis X of the pick for the digging, is as great as/greater than an angle θ2 which the half line L2 forms with the central axis X, and the straight line L1 is prevented from crossing the half line L2 or made tangent to the half line L2. The straight line L1 is defined as a straight line which connects a vertex V of a pointed end 12a of a tip 12 with a point A which is located on the side surface of the pointed end 12a and at the base end of the pointed end 12a. The half line L2 is defined as a half line included in a straight line which is tangent to the surface of the spray deposit 13 at a point B and which crosses the central axis X, and the half line which is elongated in the direction of the base end of the pick from the point B serving as a starting point, when the point, which is located on the side surface of a head 11a of a pick body 11 and at the tip of the head 11a, is described as B.
