SOLUTION: A cylinder head gasket 1 is provided with two gasket base plates having a combustion chamber hole 3A and a spacer 4 which is arranged in the periphery of a cylinder bore 2, surrounds the cylinder bore in endless manner, and is held by the gasket base plates 3. A full-bead part 3a and a half-bead part 3b are formed on each gasket base plate 3 within the range in which both the bead parts are lapped over the spacer 4, and the spacer, the full-bead part, and the half-bead part are held between a cylinder head 5 and a cylinder block 6 continuously along the circumferential direction of the cylinder bore.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylinder head gasket 1 having excellent sealing performance. SOLUTION: This cylinder head gasket 1 is composed of a first gasket base 2 on the upper face side and a second gasket base 3 on the lower face side. Both gasket bases 2 and 3 are formed with full bead parts 2b and 3a overlapping each other. A folded part 3A is formed at the second gasket base 3, and the outer side tip part (the edge part of a through hole 3b) and the edge part of a through hole 2a of the first gasket base 2 are brought into close contact with each other. This constitution can prevent the intrusion of combustion gas into a clearance between the edge part of the through-hole 3b and the edge part of the through-hole 2a, and the intrusion of combustion gas into a clearance between both gasket bases 2, 3 through the clearance between both edges.

Further, flame spray coating layers 22 piled on the shim-rings 20 are provided in specified ranges in which the combustion chamber holes 11 are adjacent to each other. After the beads 13 are compressed to be deformed, the shim-rings 20 and the spray coating layers 22 in the specified ranges are compressed, the shim-rings 20 in other parts are compressed, and thus uniform face bearing pressure can be ensured around the respective combustion chamber holes 11.

Secondly the strip material 21, a belt-like vibration-proof raw material 14 as a vibration-proof material 4 thinner than the belt-like raw material 13, and the second belt-like raw material 15 as an outer peripheral back plate 5 which is thinner than the belt-like raw material 13 and thicker than the vibration-proof raw material 14 are superimposed and passed between a pair of pressure rollers 22 to be fit under pressure and superimposed to closely contact each other to manufacture a belt-like composite raw material 23. A half slide bearing 1 or a cylindrical slide bearing is manufactured by the thus manufactured raw material 21. Thus an excellent effect of reducing hammering while seizure-resistance is kept good can be expected.
