摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the excessive deformation of a half bead in assembling to heighten sealing performance by disposing an elastic seal member between the half bead and a bead in a gasket forming the half bead comprising an inclined part and the bead projected in arc shape in this order from the end part on a combustion chamber hole side. SOLUTION: This cylinder head gasket 1 interposed between a cylinder head 3 and a cylinder block 4 of an internal combustion engine has a base 10 formed by punching an elastic metal plate such as a stainless steel plate and provided with a plurality of combustion chamber holes 11, cooling water holes, and a plurality of bolt holes around the combustion chamber holes 11. The bead 13 projected in arc shape is formed by pressing around the combustion chamber hole 11, and the half bead 14 reaching a flat part 14a via an inclined part is formed on the inner peripheral side of the bead 13. In this case, an elastic seal member 30 is stuck between the bead 13 and the half bead 14 and made to act as a stopper to prevent the excessive compressive deformation of the half bead 14.

摘要： PURPOSE:To secure a stable sealing property along the whole surface of fluid holes by providing a metallic ring and a seal member at the adequate positions, in a metallic gasket in which at least two sheets of substrates are provided opposing the tops of their beads each other. CONSTITUTION:Fluid holes 11 and 21 through which a pressure fluid pass are formed, and two sheets of metallic substrates 10 and 20 on which beads 13 and 23 are formed respectively are provided around the fluid holes 11 and 21. While a metallic ring 14 is welded between the inner periphery at the projecting side of the bead 13 of one side substrate 10 and the fluid hole 11, a seal member 30 is provided at the outer periphery at the projecting side of the bead 23 of the other side substrate 20. The substrates 10 and 20 are arranged to oppose the tops of the beads 13 and 23 each other.

A full-bead part 3a and a half-bead part 3b are formed on each gasket base plate 3 within the range in which both the bead parts are lapped over the spacer 4, and the spacer, the full-bead part, and the half-bead part are held between a cylinder head 5 and a cylinder block 6 continuously along the circumferential direction of the cylinder bore.

At this stage, rigidity of the bead of the board 20, which is arranged at a side close to the cylinder block, at a part, where plural combustion chamber holes are adjacent to each other, is set smaller than rigidity of the bead of the board 10, which is arranged at a side close to the cylinder head, at a part, where plural combustion chamber holes are adjacent to each other.

SOLUTION: A stacked gasket 5 is formed out of plates 7 and 8 as seal members, and a plate type member 11 fitted between the plates 7 and 8. When the stacked gasket 5 is laid in space between a cylinder head 6 and a cylinder block 1, the third bearing parts 7F and 8F come in contact with the plate type member 11, thereby maintaining the proper sealing function of the contact part. Also, the third bearing parts 7F and 8F function as support parts, and the first bearing parts 7C and 8C, as well as the second bearing parts 7D and 8D strongly adhere to the cylinder head 6 (cylinder block 1), and the sealing function of the contact part is thereby maintained certainly.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide high welding strength without deforming a shim ring by differentiating pitches of spot welding of the shim ring, and forming ranges of high welding denseness and low welding denseness in the circumferential direction of the shim ring. SOLUTION: A shim ring 5 surrounding combustion chamber holes 2B to 2E between both end combustion chamber holes 2A and 2F is subjected to spot welding along concentrical welding lines 5a and 5b with pitches, for instance, of 0.4mm. The welding pitch every 0.4mm in respect to the inner welding line 5a of the shim ring 5 surrounding the combustion chamber holes 2A, 2F. The pitch is every 0.3μm on the outer welding line 5b within circumferential range H1 to H3 of the shim ring 5, and every 0.4mm within other range. Thermal deformation of the shim ring 5 is prevented at the time of welding. Welding strength is improved compared with the case of spot welding with 0.4mm pitches over the circumference of the shim ring 5.

A metal ring 14 at a predetermined width is joined between the bead and the fluid hole of the first board 10, and the first and the second boards 10, 20 are arranged so that the top of each bead faces to each other. In this case, the bead of the second board 20 is formed at a height (b) lower than the height (a) of the bead of the first board 10 at the time of forming the bead, and thereafter, the beads of the first and the second boards are practically compressed to the same height.
