    • A wire crimping apparatus includes a pair of wire-length setting rollers, a pair of crimping cylinders arranged in a direction of feeding a wire, a pair of wire guides which are openably/closably attached between said pair of crimping cylinders, a pair of moving tables which has connector container grooves opposite to said pair of crimping blades and can move independently of a direction horizontally orthogonal to a wire, and a wire guide stand which has a wire pushing-down cylinder and can move in the direction vertically orthogonal to the wire. On a pair of moving tables, each wire is crimped to the connector on a first moving table at a forward position in the direction of wire feeding, is extended to have a required length between the moving tables by the wire-length setting roller, crimped to the connector on a second moving table at a backward position in the direction of wire feeding, and the moving tables are moved in opposite directions to connect wires between the connectors in a crossing manner.

    • An apparatus for manufacturing electrical harnesses including wires and electrical connectors comprises a pair of wire measuring rollers, a pair of connector tables located respectively at a first and a second locations for setting connectors thereon, which first location being near the rollers and the second location being in the wire feeding direction away from the first location, a wire feeding head disposed near a first connector table located at the first location and axially movable between the first and second locations, and a vertically movable wire pressing blade disposed on the first connector table, wherein a second connector table on which a down-facing connector is set and a third connector table on which an up-facing connector is set can be replaced with each other at the second location. In this structure, the second connector table is provided with a pectinate wire guide section having a plurality of slits, a wire pressing blade under the table to be inserted into the slits, and a pressing member for pressing the down-facing connector above the table in a vertically movable manner, whereas the third connector table is provided with a plurality of slits, and also a wire pressing blade above the table in a vertically movable manner.

    • A press-fitting unit includes a vertically movable press blade for press-fitting a stripped end of an electrical wire to a terminal disposed in a connector. A connector retaining bar movable in a horizontal direction is disposed to be opposed to the press blade. The retaining bar is provided with a plurality of connector receiving recesses in parallel to respectively hold a connector with a press-fit terminal. A wire chuck is disposed so as to opposing to the rear part of the press blade. The wire chuck is horizontally movable along a horizontal guide to a side of the press blade so as to holding the wire. Alternatively, the connector retaining bar is fixed to the apparatus by a frame and a transfer mechanism can carry the press-fitting unit along the bar in a horizontal direction. In addition, the apparatus may have a pair or two pairs of the upper and lower symmetrical press-fitting units; and the connector retaining bar is disposed between the upper and lower press-fitting units.
