    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the vibration control capacity at a low cost, by assembling a member absorbing the displacement energy at the time when a plurality of beams are relatively displaced in the horizontal direction, between the beams positioned at the upper and lower sides in the building frame of a structure and forming the member absorbing energy by using a vertically extending hollow cylindrical body. SOLUTION: In a building frame 1 chiefly constituted of columns 2 and beams 3, a damper 5 is erected as a stud forming a vibration-resistant element at the central part of vertically arranged beams 3, 3. The damper 5 is connected to respective beams 3, 3 and provided with an energy-absorbing member (cylindrical body) 8 between vertically extending brackets 6, 7. The energy-absorbing member 8 is formed of an extremely mild steel pipe with a square section having a lower yield strength than the column 2, the beam 3, and the brackets 6, 7 and the upper and lower ends thereof are connected to the brackets 6, 7 respectively. In this way, when two-directional horizontal external forces resulting from an earthquake, strong wind, etc., act on the building frame 1, the horizontal relative displacement energy of the upper and lower beams 3, 3 can be absorbed.

    • PURPOSE:To attenuate translational and torsional vibration by arranging a driving device to control displacement of a weight above a structure, determining a control gain constant according to results of a vibration identifying means and an amplitude calculating means to identify the translational and torsional vibration of the structure, and operating the driving device. CONSTITUTION:A control gain constant to translational and torsional vibration and amplitude of a structure M is stored in a plurality in a control gain determining means 28, and when a vibration sensor 16 detects vibration such as an earthquake, a control system 15 transmits a detected result to a vibration identifying means 26, and identifies the translational and torsional vibration. On the other hand, the detected result is transmitted to an amplitude calculating means 27, and amplitude is calculated. Detected results of the vibration identifying means 26 and the amplitude calculating means 27 are transmitted to a control gain determining means, and an optimal control gain constant is selected from a feedback gain table, and this is transmitted to an output means 29, and control force is calculated, and a driving device is operated according to the calculated result. In this way, displacement of a weight 12 of plural damping devices 10 is controlled, and the torsional and translational vibration can be attenuated.

    • PURPOSE:To efficiently suppress vibration by analyzing the detected signal of a sensor installed on a defined position of a structure and adjusting the liquid quantity in a sloshing damper to be a quantity synchronized with the period of vibration of the structure. CONSTITUTION:A defined quantity of water (w) is stored in a cylindrical tank 1b the inside of which is partitioned into multiple layers of water storage vessels 1a, 1a... while inserting a pipe 2 having opening portions 2a connected to each vessel 1a from the upper portion to the lowest layer of the tank 1b. A driving sensor 5 provided in the defined position of a structure is connected to an electronic computer 4 to analyze a vibrating condition while calculate the optimum liquid quantity in the damper 1. When the building is vibrated, a pump 3 is driven to adjust the water quantity in the water vessels 1a to make the storage water vibrate in the same period as, while with a shifted phase from the period of vibration of the structure. Hence, the vibration of a structure can be efficiently suppressed.

    • PURPOSE:To control easily the vibration of a tower, etc., by rotating a plurality of rotating bodies separately at the periphery of the upper part of a tower-like construction, and controlling the composition of forces of rotation so as to make the same period and the reverse direction with the motion of the tower-like construction caused by wind. CONSTITUTION:Hollow ring shaped housing bodies 3 and 3 are supported to the periphery of the upper part of a tower-like construction 1 by supporting members 2. After that, traveling trucks 5 and 6 as rotating bodies are interlocked with a rail 4 constructed inside the housing body 3 so that they are capable of making periodic rotation more than two. Then, a sensor 7 measuring the motion which occurs in the construction 1 by external force and a controller controlling the running of the trucks 5 and 6 based on the result of measuring are provided. The rotational period of the trucks 5 and 6 is controlled as same as the vibration period of the construction 1 and, at the same time, the direction of rotation and the phase are controlled to influence the composition of forces of rotation to the reverse direction to the moving direction of the construction 1. According to the constitution, even in a tower, etc., having no sufficient space, the vibration can be easily controlled.
