    • PURPOSE: To damp building vibration effectively while maintaining a high degree of freedom in building planning by assembling earthquake resisting walls from a wall body, and connector plates and brace plates both incorporated in it, and interposing a viscous or viscoelastic material between the wall body and the connector plates. CONSTITUTION: An earthquake resisting wall 3 comprises a wall body 4, connector plates 5 of steel incorporated in both ends of the wall body 4 so as to be connected at both ends to beams 1 and 2, and brace plates 6 of steel embedded in the wall body 4 so as to be connected at one end to the connector plate 5 and at the other to the beam 1 or 2. The space left in rectangle-sectioned through holes 4a cut in the wall body 4 to accept the connector plates 5 loosely is filled with a viscous or viscoelastic material 7. The earthquake resisting wall 3 thus has a seismic control function of damping and absorbing by itself vibrational energy by external force, to thereby ensure earthquake resistance and seismic control of buildings and, when used typically as a partition wall, elevate the degree of freedom in the planning and structural design of buildings.

    • PURPOSE:To control easily the vibration of a tower, etc., by rotating a plurality of rotating bodies separately at the periphery of the upper part of a tower-like construction, and controlling the composition of forces of rotation so as to make the same period and the reverse direction with the motion of the tower-like construction caused by wind. CONSTITUTION:Hollow ring shaped housing bodies 3 and 3 are supported to the periphery of the upper part of a tower-like construction 1 by supporting members 2. After that, traveling trucks 5 and 6 as rotating bodies are interlocked with a rail 4 constructed inside the housing body 3 so that they are capable of making periodic rotation more than two. Then, a sensor 7 measuring the motion which occurs in the construction 1 by external force and a controller controlling the running of the trucks 5 and 6 based on the result of measuring are provided. The rotational period of the trucks 5 and 6 is controlled as same as the vibration period of the construction 1 and, at the same time, the direction of rotation and the phase are controlled to influence the composition of forces of rotation to the reverse direction to the moving direction of the construction 1. According to the constitution, even in a tower, etc., having no sufficient space, the vibration can be easily controlled.

    • PURPOSE: To damp building vibration effectively while maintaining a high degree of freedom in building planning by disposing damper means between columns or beams or along wall bodies of a PC panel constituting, together with connector plates and brace plates, earthquake resisting walls. CONSTITUTION: An earthquake resisting wall 5 comprises a wall body 6 of a PC panel, connector plates 7 incorporated in both ends of the wall body 6 so as to be connected at both ends to beams 3 and 4, and brace plates 8 embedded in the wall body 6 so as to be coupled at one end to the connector plate 7 and at the other to the beam 3 or 4. A plurality of damper means 30 comprising a drop panel 31 extended from the beam 3 or 4 or column over one surface of the wall body 6 and a viscous or viscoelastic material 32 are arranged to damp the movement of the wall body 6 relative to the beams 3 and 4. The space left in through holes cut in the wall body 6 to accept the connector plates 7 loosely is filled with a viscous material. This structure ensures earthquake resistance and seismic control and elevates the degree of freedom in planning and structural design.
