摘要： A swivel joint for connecting fluid pipes includes a plurality of elements placed one upon another. Each element includes a cylindrical stationary portion and a cylindrical rotatable portion surrounding the stationary portion and supported rotatably thereon by a pair of vertically spaced apart sliding bearings. The two portions define therebetween an annular fluid passage having a fluid inlet to which a pipe is connected and a fluid outlet to which another pipe is connected. The rotatable portion has a pair of inclined edge surfaces. Each bearing has an inclined edge surface which is complementary to one of the inclined edge surfaces of the rotatable portion and which cooperates therewith to align the axis of rotation of the rotatable portion with the center of the stationary portion. The two portions have therebetween a clearance for absorbing any positional variation by thermal expansion thereof relative to each other.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain a pressure-proof cylindrical body which may be simply manufactured and may effect no excessive stress in its coupling section adapted to be coupled with a connecting pipe, by cross-winding a steel belt in plural layers on the outer peripheral surface of a welded laminated layer cylindrical body, and by fitting thereon an unwelded laminated layer cylindrical body having an unwelded circumferential joint seam. CONSTITUTION:An unwelded laminated layer cylindrical body 5 onto which a steel belt 5a is continuously and helically wound in plural layers, is arranged on the outer periphery of an inner cylindrical body 4 composed of a welded laminated layer cylindrical body 3 and an inner cylinder 1. This steel belt 5a on the unwelded laminated layer cylindrical body 5 is cross-wound so that the heroically winding direction of the steel belt 5a is different from each other between each adjacent layers, and each adjacent edges of the heroically wound steel belt 5a are not welded. Accordingly, the number of sections to be welded may be decreased to reduce the manufacturing cost thereof. Further, an axial deformation may be received only by the inner cylinder having thereon the welded steel belt, thereby it is possible to minimize deformations.
