    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device which secures both a high contrast ratio and a wide viewing angle simultaneously, and not only attains a fast response speed of liquid crystal molecules, but also exhibits superior display characteristics.SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device includes a first substrate and a second substrate which face each other, a liquid crystal layer which is disposed between the first substrate and second substrate and contains liquid crystal molecules, and a first pixel electrode and a second pixel electrode which are arranged on the first substrate and separated from each other. The branch electrodes of the first pixel electrode and the branch electrodes of the second pixel electrode are arranged alternately, the liquid crystal display device has a first region in which intervals between branch parts of the first pixel electrode and adjacent branch parts of the second pixel electrodes are first intervals and a second region in which branch parts of the first pixel electrodes and adjacent branch parts of the second pixel electrode are second intervals, the first region including a region in which neither of the stems of the first pixel electrode and second pixel electrode is arranged at an end of a pixel region.

One of the pixel electrode and the common electrode includes a plurality of branch electrodes spaced apart from one another, and the other electrode is in a planar form.
