    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soundproof structure of a rail, which can enhance a soundproof effect by reducing not only vibrations of the rail but also noises from the rail.
      SOLUTION: The covering member 8 is detachably attached to the top surface and undersurface of a bottom section R
      2 of the rail, and detachably attached to both side surfaces of a belly section R
      3 of the rail. In the covering member 8, a sound absorbing layer 9a for absorbing the noises from the rail R is provided inside, and a vibration control layer 10a for suppressing the vibrations generated on the rail R is provided outside. When the layer 9a is formed of a viscoelastic body, it constitutes a flexible spring and an attenuator (dash pot), makes the vibrations from the rail R hardly propagate from the layer 9a to the layer 10a, and converts a part of vibrational energy of the rail R into thermal energy by making viscosity bring about vibration damping, so as to absorb and damp the vibrations. Consequently, the noises, which are emitted outward from the layer 10a, are reduced.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration cutoff structure which easily conforms to the characteristics of the ground, is good in transportability and workability, and also good in stability after construction thereof. SOLUTION: The vibration cutoff structure (10) is constituted of a groove (20) dug in the ground (1) at a location between a vibration source and a structure which should be protected from transmission of vibrations, and a three- dimensional network body (30) arranged in the groove. The three-dimensional network body consists of wire materials formed of a plastic such as a PP (polypropylene) resin or a PET(polyethylene terephthalate) resin, for instance, and is molded such that the adjacent wire materials are connected together with voids being left therebetween like entangled dry noodles. Therefore, the network bodies different in wire diameter d and in porosity a can be easily produced, and a compression modulus e of the entire network body can be varied in a wide range according to the characteristics of the ground. Further, a nonwoven fabric (40) is interposed between the three-dimensional network body and a wall surface (21) of the groove in order to prevent infiltration of soil into the voids of the three-dimensional network body.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a noise reduction structure of a viaduct capable of reducing the noise of structures from the viaduct.
      SOLUTION: This noise reduction structure damps the vibration energy of a floor slab E
      1 since a vibration damping layer 2 suppresses a floor slab lower surface E
      3 because the upper surface of the damping layer 2 is fitted to the floor slab lower surface E
      3 . Though the soft elastic material of the damping layer 2 shearingly deforms due to the vibration of the floor slab E
      1 , the vibration of the floor slab lower surface E3 is damped by covering a part of the vibration energy into a heat energy by an internal loss due to the viscous resistance of a soft viscoelastic material. Further, since a constraint layer 3 is stacked on the damping layer 2, the deformation of the damping layer 2 is retrained by the restraint layer 3. Since the shearing deformation of the damping layer 2 is amplified and the internal loss of the damping layer 2 is amplified, the vibration damping capability of the damping layer 2 can be largely increased. By stacking damping layers 2 and the restraint layers 3 with low rigidness are stacked, spring-dash pot-mass structure is formed as an physical system, and the vibration is also cut off.

      SOLUTION: A right-side covering member 8a is mounted on the right-side lateral surface of the rail R, and a left-side covering member 8b is mounted on the left-side lateral surface of the rail R. After that, a right-side holding member 11a is mounted on the member 8a at a predetermined interval in the longitudinal direction of the rail R, and a left-side holding member 11b is mounted on the member 8b. Subsequently, a bolt 11h is inserted into through-holes 11f and 11g, and a nut 11i is attached to the bolt 11h, so that the members 11a and 11b can be connected together.
