    • An adjustable steering column for a motor vehicle includes a steering spindle, a jacket unit bearing the steering spindle, a bracket unit, mountable on the chassis of the motor vehicle, with at least one side jaw, which extends laterally of the jacket unit and bears the jacket unit (3), an openable and closable securement device which includes a clamp bolt penetrating elongated holes in the jacket unit and in the at least one side jaw, as well as at least one bracing part penetrated by the clamp bolt. The at least one bracing part is implemented in the form of a substantially planar plate. A connection with the jacket unit and the side jaw, displaceable into the particular displacement direction of the steering column and nondisplaceable into the particular other displacement direction, is completed through at least one bolt penetrating an elongated hole, wherein the bolt is connected with one of the two parts to be connected nondisplaceably into both displacement directions and the elongated hole is disposed in the other of the two parts to be connected and extends in the particular displacement direction.

    • The invention relates to a motor vehicle steering system comprising a differential drive, said differential drive having a carrier structure (12, 33), a drive shaft (3) with a shaft end (3a) facing the differential drive, an output unit (2) with a shaft end (2a) facing the differential drive, and an auxiliary drive comprising a stator (4) and a rotor (6). The aim of the invention is to simplify the structure of one such differential drive as much as possible. To this end, the shaft end (3a) of the drive shaft (3) carries a first toothed disk (7) which is connected to the drive shaft (3) in a rotationally fixed manner, the shaft end (2a) of the output unit (2) is connected to at least parts of the carrier structure (12, 33) in a rotationally fixed manner; the carrier structure (12, 33) carries a second toothed disk (8) which is connected thereto in a rotationally fixed manner; and the rotor (6) comprises a first cylindrical section (6a) and a second cylindrical section (6b) that is bent in relation to the first section (6a) at an angle (a). The first section (6a) faces the output unit (2) and the second section (6b) faces the drive shaft (3). A swash unit (9a, 9b) arranged on the bent second section (6b) couples the two toothed disks (7,8) together in a driving manner.

    • In order to provide a compact structure for a vehicle steering system comprising a transmission ratio device and an electric auxiliary drive, said device contains an auxiliary drive comprising a stator (6) and a rotor which overlaps the control gearing of the driver via a control wheel (20) and transfers it to the steering movement of the wheels and a housing (31), a drive unit (3) which can be driven by the control wheel (20) and a drive element (32) which is connected to the steered wheels, in addition to at least two planetary gear systems. The reaction force on the steering wheel should not be increased or should not be noticeably increased. The system should also have the required redundancy in case of an error function of the electric unit. One of the planetary gear systems can be driven by the rotor of an electric motor and the drive torque coming from the control wheel (20) is superimposed by the drive torque of the electric motor and they are introduced together into the drive element (32) as drive torque.
