    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an inkjet recording body which can manufacture the inkjet recording body excellent in glossiness and ink absorbency by using a substrate with low gas permeability or non-gas permeability by a cast coating method.
      SOLUTION: A base material 4 provided with an ink receiving layer 3 on the substrate 2 with the low gas permeability or non-gas permeability, is arranged between a gloss roll 5 and a press roll 6. After a coating liquid 7 for forming a glossy layer is fed on the ink receiving layer 3, while the base material 4 is pressed by the press roll 6, the base material 4 is press-coated with the coating liquid 7 by passing the base material through between the gloss roll 5 and the press roll 6 to form a coating liquid layer 8. While the coating liquid layer 8 is under a wet condition or a semi-dried condition, the coating liquid layer 8 is released from the gloss roll 5 and moved. Then, the coating liquid layer 8 is brought into contact with the gloss roll again, and after the base material 4 is moved under the condition, the coating liquid layer 8 is released from the gloss roll 5.
