    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode element for electrochemical measurement in which stability against fluctuations of a reference electrode potential due to chemical and temporal factors is ensured and physical problems such as exfoliation and disconnection of an electrode film are solved.SOLUTION: The electrode element for electrochemical measurement is formed by providing a conductive film on an insulating substrate and has at least two electrodes of a working electrode and a reference electrode, and a reference electrode foundation layer and the working electrode are made of the same material, and the reference electrodes has a conductive coating layer made of a material different from that of the foundation layer, in at least a range covering a sample contact portion of a part other than a terminal contact portion of the foundation layer. Preferably, the reference electrode foundation layer and the working electrode are made of a metal or an alloy having a volume resistivity of 15 μΩcm or less at 0°C and a Mohs hardness of 4.0 or more. Preferably, the conductive coating layer is made of silver or a mixture of silver and silver chloride.
