    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle mounting structure of an airbag device for rear-end collision, restraining a ceiling of a cabin from being lowered. SOLUTION: An airbag 11 is mounted on the vehicle in the state where it is folded in a vertical direction and both left and right end parts 11a are folded/returned to left and right inner sides. The folded/returned portion to the left and right inner side of the airbag 11 then becomes thicker as compared with the other portion of the airbag 11. However, a back door hinge 61 is provided in a position different from the folded/returned portion to the left and right inner sides of the airbag 11 in a vehicle width direction. The ceiling of the cabin is made higher thereby, as compared with the case where the back door hinge 61 is provided above the portion folded/returned to the left and right inner sides of the airbag 11.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle mounting structure of an airbag device for rear-end collision, properly guiding a development/inflation direction of an airbag even if a metal plate or the like is not provided. SOLUTION: The airbag 11 is provided with a lateral cell 11d extending in a vehicle width direction and deployed/inflated between a roof panel 31 and a ceiling material 50, and the ceiling material 50 is pushed down by the lateral cell 11d, is downwardly displaced and abutted on a head rest 63a. When the airbag 11 is developed/inflated, therefore, the ceiling material 50 is supported by the head rest 63a from below. Thus, when the airbag 11 is developed/inflated, an attitude of the ceiling material 50 is defined by the head rest 63a, and the ceiling material 50 is worked as a guide at development/inflation of the airbag 11. According to the constitution, even if a separate member such as a steel plate is not provided and is not worked as the guide, a development/inflation direction of the airbag 11 is properly guided.
