    • A vehicle hydraulic brake apparatus includes a brake member, a master cylinder generating a brake hydraulic pressure by increasing the pressure of brake fluid in a reservoir, a master piston moved forward in response to operation of the brake member, a closed chamber defined behind the master piston, a power piston disposed behind the master piston, and a power chamber defined behind the power piston. An auxiliary hydraulic pressure source generates power hydraulic pressure and a pressure regulating device connects the auxiliary hydraulic pressure source with the reservoir. The power hydraulic pressure is regulated to a predetermined hydraulic pressure and is fed to the power chamber. A normally-open type valve connects the closed chamber and the power chamber, and is closable upon operation of the brake member. The closed chamber is connected to the reservoir via the normally-open type valve, the power chamber and the pressure regulating device.

    • A hydraulic pressure brake device is provided with a vacuum boosting device performing a boosting operation and a hydraulic boosting device performing a hydraulic boosting operation. Based on the detected output by the detecting sensor, a pump device for supplying the boosting pressure by the hydraulic boosting device is controlled to be driven.

    • A vehicle hydraulic brake control system includes a wheel brake for applying a hydraulic braking force to a wheel in response to a hydraulic pressure supplied to the wheel brake, a reservoir is which is stored brake fluid under the atmospheric pressure, a main hydraulic pressure source fluidly connected to the reservoir for generating a high hydraulic pressure in response to a force applied to an operating member of the vehicle, and an auxiliary hydraulic pressure source fluidly connected to the reservoir for generating another high hydraulic pressure. A control valve is fluidly connected to the main hydraulic pressure source, the auxiliary hydraulic pressure source, the wheel brake, and the reservoir for establishing a supply and drain of brake fluid under pressure to the wheel brake from either the main hydraulic pressure source or the auxiliary hydraulic pressure source. A fluid flow control device is provided in a passage connecting the auxiliary pressure source to a control valve to adjust the hydraulic pressure from the auxiliary pressure source to the control valve in two steps. When hydraulic pressure is supplied from the auxiliary pressure source to the wheel brake via the control valve, an increase rate of the hydraulic pressure in the wheel brake can be made quickly or slowly without operating the control valve on high cycles.

    • The present invention is directed to a hydraulic brake apparatus for applying braking force to each wheel of a vehicle in response to depression of a brake pedal. An auxiliary pressure source is provided for pressurizing the brake fluid in the reservoir to discharge power pressure. A control piston is slidably disposed in a cylinder body ahead of a master piston to be movable in response to movement thereof, so that a regulator chamber is defined ahead of the control piston, and a rear end thereof is exposed to a pressure chamber. A pressure increase valve is provided for communicating the regulator chamber with the auxiliary pressure source or cutting off the communication in response to movement of the control piston. A pressure decrease valve is provided for communicating the regulator chamber with the reservoir or cutting off the communication in response to movement of the control piston. A resilient member is disposed in the cylinder body for defining a counter-force chamber into which pressure is fed from one of the pressure chamber, auxiliary pressure source and power chamber. The resilient member is adapted to activate the pressure increase and decrease valves to move in a direction opposite to a direction thereof moved by the control piston. A pressure control valve is controlled in response to driving and/or braking conditions of the vehicle to vary the pressure in the counter-force chamber continuously thereby to be regulated into a predetermined pressure.
