    • A fuel injection valve comprises a valve body having a injection port at an edge thereof, a needle valve member interposed in the valve body and opening or closing the injection port, a first spring member for energizing the needle valve member in a one direction, a piezoelectric device being a piezoelectric element having a cylindrical body mounted on the interior of the valve body in a condition that a positive or negative voltage is applied, and controlling the needle valve member in the direction of opening the injection port by applying a voltage changed over positively or negatively at the time of fuel injection while pushing the needle valve member in the opposite direction in response to the energizing direction of the first spring member, and a second spring member for providing a larger energizing force than the energizing force of the first spring member described above and being interposed between the valve body and the piezoelectric device described above. The fuel injection valve described above has a high durability and a large amount of fuel injection and is compact.

    • A throttle controller includes a main body to which is connected a body cover which accommodates therein a power transmitting mechanism constituted by a pinion gear, a secondary gear, and a final gear. Accommodated in the body cover are a built-in throttle sensor and a lever connecting the throttle sensor and the throttle shaft. The throttle controller is less complicated in construction, requiring a smaller number of parts, and allows realization of reduced production cost as compared to other known constructions. In addition, the assembly of the throttle sensor is easier.

    • A throttle control apparatus controls the amount of inlet air fed to an internal combustion engine on the basis of the degree of opening of a throttle valve. The throttle valve is constituted by a valve body that is fixedly mounted on a valve shaft which is rotatably supported on a housing. The valve shaft is connected, via a reduction mechanism, to an output shaft of a coreless DC motor that is accommodated within the housing. The DC motor is operated to increase or decrease the amount of inlet air to the engine based on a change of the acceleration pedal position, for example by rotating the valve body by way of the valve shaft through an angle that corresponds to the change in position of the accelerator pedal. Employing a DC coreless motor allows the throttle valve to respond to a very quick positioning of the acceleration pedal with a relatively great degree of accuracy.
