    • An object is to provide a vehicle coolant control valve having excellent response, small size and weight, and low power consumption. A coolant stop valve (vehicle coolant control valve) valve comprises a valve body for controlling the flow of a fluid, the valve body having a magnetic body; a coil spring (urging device) for moving the valve body in the closing direction; a valve seat capable of coming in contact with the valve body; and a solenoid for moving the valve body in the closing direction; wherein the valve body is moved in the opening direction by fluid pressure of a fluid discharged from a water pump (pump) during operation of the water pump (pump), against the movement force of the coil spring (urging device) in the closing direction.

    • An engine cooling apparatus includes an engine for vehicle traveling, a pump driven by the engine, a heat exchanger, a circulation passage for circulating cooling liquid between the engine and the heat exchanger by driving the pump, a solenoid valve capable of opening/closing the circulation passage, and a controller for controlling operations of the engine. The solenoid valve includes a valve body movable between a position away from a valve seat and a position contacting the valve seat and held to contact the valve seat and a solenoid capable of maintaining contact between the valve body and the valve seat in response to supply of power thereto. When driving of the pump under a non-energized state of the solenoid, the valve body is movable to the position away from the valve seat by the cooling liquid fluid pressure.

    • A vehicle cooling device includes a pump, circulation paths connected to the pump for circulating coolant between a cooling object and a heat exchanger, a solenoid valve for opening and closing at least one of the circulation paths, and a control unit for controlling pump operation. The solenoid valve includes a valve body movable between a position separated from a valve seat and a position abutting the valve seat, the valve body being held in abutment with the valve seat, and a solenoid maintaining the abutment when energized. The valve body allows coolant fluid pressure to move the valve body separate from the valve seat when the solenoid is not energized and the pump is in operation, and the control unit performs controlling to stop the pump and start solenoid energization when conditions are ready for stopping coolant circulation through the circulation path in which the solenoid valve is disposed.

    • Provided is a control valve that hardly generates noise from vibration applied thereto, while achieving compactization and power consumption saving of the valve. The valve is incorporated in a coolant circulatory passageway for circulating coolant between an engine and a heat exchanger via a pump. The valve includes a main body having a coolant channel and a valve seat, a valve body movable between a position away from the valve seat and a position in, contact with the valve seat, and a solenoid configured to cause the valve body to be adhered to the valve seat with a magnetic force generated in response to supply of electric power thereto. The control valve is configured such that the power supply to the solenoid is started when an ignition key of the engine is under its ON state and the pump is stopped.
