    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the drying-up of cooked rice regardless of the quantity of cooked rice by controlling a steam port opening/closing device to be opened and closed prescribed times in the rice cooking process. SOLUTION: When the water absorbing process is finished and the heating process is started while a steam port 4 is closed, a heating means 2 is continuously kept on until a temperature detecting means 6 detects the prescribed temperature before boiling. When the prescribed temperature is detected, the temperature in a pot is considered to be uniform, the steam port 4 is kept closed in the subsequent rice cooking-up process, the heating means 2 is kept on until a cover temperature detecting means 7 detects the prescribed boiling temperature, and the quantity of cooked rice is judged based on the elapsed period of the process. The steam port 4 is opened in the boiling maintaining process in which the electric power is changed in response to the quantity of cooked rice, and this process is finished when the temperature detecting means 7 detects the prescribed temperature. The follow-on cooking process is then conducted for the fixed period when the steam port 4 is repeatedly opened during a resting time and closed during the heating time prescribed times. The steam port 4 is opened in the steaming process in which the cooked rice is steamed without being heated for the fixed period.

For the fan 22, a tonguelike piece 23 is provided at the end face thereof, and in the case where the fan 22 is put on the shaft 19, the fan 22 is designed so that the tonguelike piece 23 is in contact with the top end of the shaft 19 when the fan is pushed in to a proper position for the control circuit board 15 and the lower main body 11.

CONSTITUTION:A protective frame bottom section 3 is formed with thermoplastic material, and a protective frame side surface section 4 is formed with a metal material, for example, a aluminum-plated steel plate. Induction coils 5 are arranged on the external surface of the protective frame bottom section 3 to be confronted with the bottom section of a pot 2 in order to enhance the cooling effect, and are retained between the bottom section 3 and a protective frame cover 6 screw-stopped on the protective frame bottom section 3. A space between the lowest section of the protective frame side surface section 4 and the highest section of the induction coils 5 is set with the sections separated from each other at the intervals of 15-30mm for example, and without heating the protective frame side surface section 4 abnormally due to induction, heating, and also in view of a heat retaining surface, the longest dimension for reducing a cost can be taken.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the excessive temperature rise by detecting the abnormal temperature and suspending the electric conduction to a heater by installing a case which is energized by a spring and moved vertically by the mounting and demounting of a pot, and allowing the case to contact a heat sensing member in contact with a temperature fuse. CONSTITUTION:The outer case 20 of a temperature detecting device 14 is fixedly installed on a heater 11, and an inner case 21 is supported on an outer case 20 so as to be press- attached on the bottom surface of a pot 15 by a spring 22. A pot sensor 23 for sensing the temperature of the bottom of the pot 15 is nipped between a temperature sensing plate 24 and a fixed plate 25 (heat sensing member) and fixed at the upper part of an inner case 21. A temperature fuse unit 26 for detecting the abnormal temperature rise of the heater 11 is bent into a nearly U-figure form, and nipped and fixed between the hook 21a of the inner case 21 and the fixed plate 25 so that a temperature fuse 27 contacts the fixed plate 25. When a trouble is generated on the pot sensor 23 or a control substrate 18 and the temperature abnormally rises, the heat is transmitted to the heat sensing plate 24 in contact with the bottom surface of the pot 15 and the fixed plate 25, and the temperature fuse 27 receives the heat, thus the temperature sharply rises and the electric current cut-off operation is performed.

    • PURPOSE:To close a boiling-over hole with glutinous content so that a large form cannot be formed with steam jetting from a lower section, and prevent the glutinous content from flowing outside a cooker by arranging stepped sections in two or more directions at least around the boiling-over hole. CONSTITUTION:When water in a proper quantity or more to the quantity of rice is contained in error to perform cooking, then at the time point of the boiling of the water, excessive steam and glutinous content are formed in the shape of foam and are moved upward on the upper section of an internal cover 7 through the boiling- over hole 8 of the internal cover 7. It is done in the same manner also when the cooking is performed with high power, and the jetting steam is more speedy than normal one, and steam along with more glutinuous content is jetted on the upper section of the internal cover 7 through the boiling-over hole 8. On the area ratio of the boiling-over hole 8 to a suction hole 9, if the boiling-over hole 8 is formed to be sufficiently large, boiling-over is concentrated to the hole 8, and so the boiling- over from the suction hole 9 is not generated. The glutinous content boiled over on the upper step surface 7a of the internal cover 7 is stored to close the boiling-over hole 8, but if there is any surface stepped downward near the hole 8, said content flows in the direction D, and the hole 8 is not closed with it.
