    • PURPOSE:To improve the assembling efficiency of the title lid body without using capscrews for fixing an outer lid cover and without using a piece of packing at a connection part between a radiation plate and the outer lid cover and with low cost, by integrally forming the peripheral part of the radiation plate. CONSTITUTION:A lid body 14 which forms the upper part of a main body 16 and has a hinge part 12 on one end thereof and has a locking mechanism part 13 on the other end facing each other, is formed so as to be freely opened and closed around the main body 16. The outer shell of the lid body 14 is formed of an outer lid 15 and the lower part thereof is covered with an outer lid cover 17 formed of synthetic resin. At the central part of the cover 17, a radiation plate 18 in the shape of an aluminum-made disk, which is simultaneously integrally formed when the outer lid cover 17 is formed, is fixed. On the radiation plate 18, a cord-like lid heater 19 is fixed with an aluminum-made seal 20. Since the radiation plate is integrally formed on the outer lid cover, capscrews and a piece of packing are not needed, and the title lid body can simply be manufactured at low cost.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a temperature detector of a rice cooker to avoid the overheating of a heater in a simple structure, by arranging a heat conduction plate so that it does not contact the heater when the inner pan is put on the body but it contacts the heater when the pan is removed from the body. SOLUTION: When the inner pan 12 is put on the body, a thermalconduction plate 14 and a thermistor case 19 are pushed down by the inner pan 12 and hence the heat conduction plate 14 is disconnected from the heater 13 and rice is ordinarily cooked. When the inner pan 12 is removed from the body, the heat conduction plate 14 and the thermistor case 19 are pushed up by a spring 15 and the outer peripheral part (part (a)) of the heat conduction plate 14 gets into contact with the heater. In this state, even when the heater 13 is put on by mistake to cook rice, the rising temperature of the heater 13 is rapidly transferred to the thermistor 16 by the heat conduction plate 14 since the heater is contacting the plate 14, and the temperature rise is detected by a microcomputer to cut off the current of the heater to prevent such inconveniences that the heater rises to an abnormally high temperature and the body melts.
