摘要： A resonance detection device is provided for detecting resonance in an exhaust passage of an automotive vehicle. The detection device employs a temperature sensor in combination with an arrangement which enables the sensor to be exposed to a flow of exhaust gas the temperature of which is different from the temperature of the bulk of the flow, when resonance occurs. In given embodiments the arrangement takes the form different diameter conduits and/or vessels, while others it takes the form of a heat exchange device which either heats or cools the gases, and which is disposed proximate the temperature sensor. When no resonance occurs in the passage, the output of the temperature sensor remains stable. When resonance occurs the fluid flow characteristics in the passage change in a manner wherein the gas which has been either heated or cooled by the heat exchange device is induced to flow against the temperature sensor. The sensed temperature change can be used to control a valve via which the resonance characteristics of the passage are modified and via which resonance is attenuated.

摘要： A connector block for injectors for an internal combustion engine comprises a rod-like main stem section of a heat-resistant rigid resin having a connector portion for a wire harness and a required number of injector connecting portions disposed at predetermined intervals that are molded as integral parts thereof, and tab-like terminals are made exposed from the connector portion for a wire harness and the injector connecting portions, and bus bars are insert molded in the rod-like main stem section for effecting an electrical connection between the connector portion and injector connecting portions, whereby an electrical connection is effected between a wire harness and a group of injectors. A receptacle junction terminal having upper and lower contact sections in which tab-like terminals are inserted for connection and adapted to be accommodated in a terminal accommodating chamber of the connector block is made by blanking a single plate material into a predetermined configuration and holding the plate material so blanked into a hollow quadrilateral prism, and at least a pair of cantilever-like elastic pieces are formed, respectively, on front and back walls of said quadrilateral prism in such a manner as to protrude upwardly therefrom, and the terminal accommodating chamber accommodates the junction terminal with the top portions of the elastic pieces of the junction terminal being in press contact therewith, while a space where the elastic pieces are allowed to be elastically flexible is being provided between the inner walls of the terminal accommodating chamber and the front and back walls of the junction terminal, respectively.

摘要： A fuel feed apparatus accommodates a sub tank. The sub tank includes a pump module The pump module generates vibration, and is supported by a supporting member and a suction filter. The suction filter is covered with a nonwoven fabric. The nonwoven fabric is used as an additional filter for removing debris in fuel drawn by the pump module. The supporting member and the nonwoven fabric have resilience. The pump module is mounted on the sub tank via the supporting member and the non woven fabric. Therefore, vibration of the pump module is not apt to be transmitted to the sub tank. Additionally, the supporting member need not to be rigidly formed, so that the supporting member can be manufactured easily.

摘要： Exhaust gas is caused to flow through a bypass passage during an adsorption mode. At this time, an adsorbing member adsorbs harmful components, e.g. HC, of the exhaust gas. Also, exhaust gas is caused to flow through the bypass passage to thermally desorb the harmful component held at the adsorbing member during a desorption mode. A quantity of heat given from exhaust gas to the adsorbing member during the desorption mode is calculated based on an operation state of an engine. It is determined that the desorption of the harmful components has been finished when the quantity of heat given to the adsorbing member reaches a total quantity of heat required for totally desorbing the harmful components adsorbed by the adsorbing member.
