摘要： A magnetic recording/reproducing apparatus in which at least two recording and reproducing magnetic heads are mounted on a rotatable cylinder with an angular distnce of 180.degree. therebetween, wherein audio signals having undergone a pulse code modulation are recorded on record tracks slanted relative to the longitudinal direction of a magnetic tape wrapped around the rotatable cylinder. The record track is divided trackwise into a plurality of channels. The audio signals are recorded on the channel basis. The magnetic tape is transported in a forward or backward direction while recording or reproduction is conducted. The rotatable cylinder has mounted thereon a first erasing head rendered operative when the magnetic tape is transported in the forward direction and a second erasing head operative when the magnetic tape is transported in the backward direction for erasing only the audio signal of a given channel on the record track.

摘要： A recording/reproducing apparatus is provided for effecting digital processing to convert an analog video signal into a digital signal without losing character data superimposed over a vertical blanking period of the analog video signal. The recording/reproducing apparatus for converting the analog video signal into the digital signal and recording/reproducing the converted digital signal has a detector which detects character data, which is superimposed over the vertical blanking period of the received analog video signal, at the recording time. A superimposer which encodes the detected character data and superimposes the encoded character data over a digital signal from which the character data was removed, whereby the digital signal with the superimposed character data is recorded on the recording media. There is also a detector which detects first copy guard data superimposed over the vertical blanking period and second copy guard data superimposed over a color burst signal; and an adder which adds the two detected copy guard data to a signal reproduced from the recording media.

摘要： A magnetic recording/reproducing apparatus equipped with an image sensor, has a camera portion having an A/D converter for converting a signal from an image sensor into a digital signal and a first digital processor for receiving an output of the A/D converter and for digitally processing thereof. A VTR portion of a helical scan type mounts at least two or more of magnetic heads for recording/reproducing a FM modulated luminance signal and a low band converted chrominance signal. A second digital processor processes a video signal of the VTR. A switching circuit is provided in a preceding stage of the A/D converter. The image sensor signal, an external video signal and a reproduced signal from the magnetic heads are exchanged. The output of the A/D converter is inputed to the second digital processor, and a sampling clock of the A/D converter is exchanged to the most appropriate clock for the respective image sensor signal, the external video signal and the reproduced signal from the magnetic heads.
