    • A biochemical analysis kit includes a biochemical analysis unit including a substrate capable of attenuating radiation energy and light energy and formed with a plurality of absorptive regions to be spaced apart from each other, and a stimulable phosphor sheet including a support formed with a plurality of stimulable phosphor layer regions in substantially the same pattern as that of the plurality of absorptive regions, the plurality of absorptive regions of the biochemical analysis unit and the plurality of stimulable phosphor layer regions of the stimulable phosphor sheet being formed so that an average area Sm of the plurality of absorptive regions of the biochemical analysis unit and an average area Sp of the plurality of stimulable phosphor layer regions of the stimulable phosphor sheet meet a requirement that Sp is equal to or larger than a quarter of Sm. According to the thus constituted biochemical analysis kit, it is possible to produce biochemical analysis data having excellent quantitative characteristics with high resolution by reading radiation data or chemiluminescence data transferred from the biochemical analysis unit to the stimulable phosphor sheet.

    • Stimulating rays produced by a line light source are linearly irradiated onto an area of a stimulable phosphor sheet, on which a radiation image has been stored, the stimulating rays causing the sheet to emit light in proportion to an amount of energy stored thereon during its exposure to radiation. Light emitted from the exposed linear area of the sheet is received with a line sensor comprising photoelectric conversion devices arrayed along each of a length direction of the linear area of the stimulable phosphor sheet and a direction normal to the length direction. The sheet is moved with respect to the line light source and the line sensor and in a direction different from the length direction of the linear area of the sheet. Operation processing is performed on outputs of the photoelectric conversion devices, which outputs have been obtained at respective positions of movement and correspond to an identical site on the sheet.

    • A method of preparing a phosphor layer coating solution of a radiation image conversion panel is provided, in which, at least a phosphor, a binder, a cross-linking agent which cross-links the binder by being heated, and a solvent are constituent components of the phosphor layer coating solution. The method includes a phosphor dispersing step in which the constituent components other than the cross-linking agent are mixed and stirred to disperse the phosphor such that a phosphor dispersion is prepared, a cooling step in which the phosphor dispersion prepared in the phosphor dispersing step is cooled, and a cross-linking agent adding step in which the cross-linking agent is added to the phosphor dispersion cooled in the cooling step and the dispersion is stirred such that the cross-linking agent is thoroughly mixed therewith.

    • An acoustooptic image can be formed by using a plate-like image sensor capable of increasing its optical density upon exposure to a radiation. The image sensor is exposed to a radiation bearing image information to record the image information on the image sensor. Then, pulsed light is applied to the image sensor to enable the same to generate a pressure wave commensurate with the recorded image information. The pressure wave is detected in synchronism with the pulsed light and converted into an electric signal, from which an image signal is reproduced. The image signal may be displayed on a CRT, or recorded on a magnetic recording medium, or reproduced on a photographic material.
